My Dreams of Fantasy and What Comes of Them

Guess what my sis got for Christmas? A Great Dane puppy!!! His name is BUZZ. He's so cute and we all love him! He is deaf, and that takes some getting used to, but Lane's been working on training him to hand signals and he's getting good at it! Here's some pictures...

Oh, and listen to this funny conversation I had with 4 yo Mayf while in the kitchen recently...

Mayf: "What's this?"

Me: "Glass cleaner"

Mayf: "What does it say on it?"

Me: "Um, 'Glass Cleaner' "

Mayf: "Oh. To clean glass?"

Me: "Yep!"

Mayf: "Oh... Meg?"

Me: "Yeah?"

Mayf: "Can I clean some glass?"

Me: "Um... sure!" I raised a brow and showed him how to clean to sliding glass door.

After awhile Mayf came back. "All done!"

"Good job! Here, put the glass cleaner in this cabinet."

He did. Then said, "Meg?"

"Hmmm?"

"Can I get it back out and clean some more glass? The other side is still dirty."

"Well, sure!" I get it back out and give it back. After awhile he comes back. I say, "You done?"

Mayf: "Yup." He puts the bottle back in the cabinet.

Me: "Does it look good?"

Mayf: "Nope. The Glass Cleaner's got all gone before I was done."

Me: "Oh."

The birds twitter for about two minutes.

Mayf: "Meg?"

Me: "Yeah?"

Mayf: "Can I help you make cookies?"

Me: "Sure."

I made this picture of him recently... it totally matches his little personality! Han Solo all the way!!!:P

Oh my gosh! Buzz is SOOOO cute! I love all big dogs, but Great Danes are some of my favorite! *misses Shasta and Mädchen* (pronounced MAY-chin)

Yes, we're a big dog family as well, and my sister plans to work with animals in the future as an occupation!
Actually there is a local Dane saving program in our community! It took a lot of time (application and all) but he's all worth it!
Were those Danes you mentioned yours?

Oh, HOW CUTE!!!!!! Your sistah is so lucky to get a puppy...*is sad she doesn't have a puppy* And Great Danes totally rock.

Oh I wish those Danes were mine! But they'd never be happy in my town. *sighs* They are my aunt and uncles dogs, and they are the most well behaved dogs ever!

That's so cool that you got him from a shelter! My cat was a stray, and my rabbit, Maddock, was from a shelter. He was found on the side of the road, but someone caught him and brought him to the shelter.

Oh that's so cool about your sister! I have decided I'm going to be a zoo keeper. I want to find a zoo to volunteer at for now, but I can't! Teens get so little respect in the conservation field, and it angers me. how do they expect the next generation to care for the animals if they won't do anything more in the educational field then some "educational" games!?!?

*is still angry about it*

Well, depending on how old your sister is, you might not want to take her to see "Marley and Me". It has a lot of...almost immoral stuff in there...idk, it's hard and kind of uncomfortable to explain!! :P But if your sister is pretty young, then I would say "No, don't take her!!" because it's NOT a kids' movie. But the dog parts were so cute...that was the only thing good about it, pretty much. :) It is rather pro-family in a way, though.
But anyways, guess what? I'm going on the March for Life in D.C.!! We're leaving early tomorrow morning [as I said in my most recent blog post], but I'll be sure to post about it, either Friday or Saturday, depending on what time we get back Friday. Love ya!!

Hey! Ya I also was voting for Arizona. I really like Kurt!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I'm now sad... Cause how could they win!!!!!!!!!?????? I hate the aweful Steelers now, It's soooooo not fair!!!!!!!!!!!! I also think that the refs should of looked over the last play, cause its like so very important to the game, yet they didn't! (I am kinda thinking that they were bribed into always going for Pittsburg, LOL I don't know but I am pretty suspicious o.o)
