Central Oklahoma Homeschool Bands, under the direction of Tom Rye, will give a free concert Thursday, Dec. 18th @ 7 pm, at First Baptist Moore.
Those planning to attend should be aware that no food or drinks will be allowed in the sanctuary, and that they should remain in the concert area of the church building.
Also, it is recommended that, because this event tends to run later into the evening, younger children should be left at home, if possible.
(Added by Ruth Smith: We like to take our little ones to the band concerts to expose them to good music in a family-friendly environment where we don’t have to worry about them being too loud or disruptive. Many families at the concert have many children; the band concerts are such that you don’t have to keep your children in total silence like you would at other more formal concerts. If the evening gets late or the program gets long, my little children either fall asleep or play quietly in the pew.)
