Keepers of the Faith Club

Keepers of the Faith Club

FIRST MEETING: SEPTEMBER 15th

Yvonna Bourlon and Teresa Burnett will be continuing the “Keepers of the Faith” club for boys and girls ages 4-18. This is a “hands-on” program where children learn practical/life skills such as cake decorating for girls, wood working for boys, first aid and a host of other skills and activities. Children are encouraged to be Godly participates in their community while learning leadership skills, at the same time being encouraged to be creative and resourceful. This program is Bible-based without any specific denominational teachings.

We will have a list of skills and activities that will be done together as a group. Many of the skills listed in the Keepers Club handbooks can be completed at home such as literature, foreign language, gardening, church, family, hospitality, community service, etc. When skills and goals are met, achievement awards are earned in the form of badges or pins.

The Keepers Club will meet monthly with small monthly dues ($1/child) collected to cover the cost of supplies for the activities. There will be a $15/family registration fee for one child, $20 for two children, $25 for three children and $30 for four or more children to help with start-up costs and supplies. At the end of the year, an Awards Banquet will be held where children can display some of the things they’ve done throughout the year. This will also be a time of recognition where the badges and pins will be awarded for the children’s accomplishments.

We’ll begin meeting this fall, but if you want to be a part of this fun-filled club please start signing up now.

Hi, I was just looking around for blogs that had information on "Keepers of the Faith Clubs" and came across yours. I am investigating, thinking of starting one where I am. In your post you said, "We will have a list of skills and activities that will be done together as a group. " I was just curious if I could get this list from you. It would make it easier on me figuring out what to do from another group that has had experience.
Thank You, Donna
