The PCHEA Fall Social will take place at Mark and Ruth Smith’s home. Call for directions if you need them.
Dinner will be a potluck.Please bring a main dish, dessert and/or side dish to share. PCHEA will provide the plates, napkins, utensils, and drinks.Bring your lawn chairs.
A volleyball net will be set up.We will also have a hayride and some organized games and relay races.You may also bring your footballs, Frisbees, balls, croquet, bubbles, or any other activities you like.
I know we are barely getting into summer, but our back to school fair is just around the corner. It is a little earlier this year to give every one more time to plan before they get started with their school. We are excited about the variety of booths that will be here.

PLAN to come so we can PLAN the 2008/2009 school year at the PLANning meeting.
The PCHEA planning meeting is this Thursday, May 22nd at 6:30.
We will be in the large meeting room at the Shawnee Library.
I hope you will plan on coming so we can get your input as to what you would like to see happening with PCHEA this next year. This is also an opportunity for you to volunteer to plan or coordinate an event in the upcoming year.
Tomorrow morning I will be sending some information on the activities, events from the 2007/2008 school year. Even if you cannot make it to the meeting please take a moment to look at this and respond with your input. We are open to changes, suggestions, comments etc.
The awards banquet scheduled for May 8th, this Thursday, will be cancelled since we only had one respond as planning to come.
Last year this event had great attendance, so we were wondering if the date just didn’t work for most of you.
We are considering rescheduling this event for Monday, June 2nd, if we have enough interest. If you think you would like to participate on this date please email Teresa Burnett by this Monday, May 12th. We were thinking of having the meal, doing awards, and then having some time for games and visiting. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we know if we need to reserve a place and make the needed arrangements.
On another note, the Planning Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 22nd from 6:30-8:30 at the Shawnee Library. I hope you will plan on coming so we can get feedback for next year's schedules. It is here where we all have a chance to share what we would like for PCHEA to sponsor in the upcoming year. This includes Meetings, Mom’s Night Out, Field Trips, Special Events, or…This is also where we talk about days and times that work well as well as find people willing to sponsor or co-sponsor the events. The more input and volunteers we have the more we can do. Again, please plan on coming to the planning meeting so we can get the 2008/2009 ( it’s hard to believe it’s that time again) school year off to a good start.

PCHEA is an OCHEC affiliated support group. We are Christian in orientation and leadership, as are most of our members, but we do not exclude anyone on the basis of their beliefs.
