Capitol Day Committee Needs Volunteers

The following message is from a representative of the Capitol Day committee.

Hi, Ladies,

The Capitol Day committee has asked me to try to recruit a few volunteers
for our upcoming Capitol Day on February 9, 2010. Would you please forward
these volunteer opportunities to the members of your support group? The
need is urgent-Capitol Day is fast approaching.

Thank you so very much for your service to the homeschooling community!

With gratitude,
Kim Stewart
Capitol Day Committee

1) OCHEC is looking for a couple of people to help coordinate the
Capitol Day essay contest. This job is simply helping to promote and judge
the Capitol Day essay contest. The contest information is already posted on
the OCHEC website. We just need 2-3 people to encourage participation and
then to judge the entries. A scoring tool is available that lists the
criteria for scoring the essays. It is a very simple, but important job.
Please contact Kim Stewart at (405) 330-8621 or by email at
getkim5353@sbcglobal.net for more information.

2) OCHEC is still in need of volunteers to help at the OCHEC office in
Oklahoma City on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with Capitol Day
registration. Even if you could just do it one time, your service would be
greatly appreciated! We also need volunteers to help at the registration
tables at the capitol on Capitol Day. It would be most helpful (but not
essential) if the same people who worked at the office could also help at
the capitol because they would be familiar with the registration process.
Those interested should contact OCHEC at capitolday@ochec.com.
