Tour and Reception Saturday 9:45 am
Created in 1984, the Dalí Museum Junior Docent Program is a summer student program offered to children 9 to 13 years of age. The Junior Docents are trained in a one-week mini docent class where they receive personal attention as they learn about the collection. This program concludes with a public reception where the children conduct the tour, sharing their knowledge of Dalí and his paintings with the public. Junior docents are encouraged to put the information in their own words, helping them to appreciate art in new ways. They participate in fun, surreal-inspired activities; and they make new friends.
Ultimately, the Dalí Junior Docent Program benefits students by building self-esteem, enhancing their speaking skills, providing opportunities to verbalize personal choices, and bringing families into the museum to share in the students' accomplishments.

What aWONDERFUL time we had at the Barb Mesh Workshop! She was cooking with GAS! She always does a good job but, you could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit empowering her! My favorite Barb Quote this time was, "When you see Poop, Look for the Pony"! In other words, something good always comes out of something bad.
We had over 40 in attendance, the largest one thus far. Barb provided each of us with a book chock full of everything you need to know to prepare you’re your high school student for their journey through highschool and beyond. It was so inspiring to have all the information broken down for us with procedures, references, sample pages, and stories. Her stories provided us with encouragement, laughter, and a “how to”.Her sweet humble spirit was evident throughout.
Do you want to learn about establishing college credit, graduation requirements, dual enrollment, record keeping, transcripts and portfolios? The PPEA will be sponsoring another “Getting Through Highschool and Beyond” Workshop in the future. Join the PPEA for this and more great events coming exclusively for the PPEA 2008/2009 school year!
Thank you to all who attended and contributed to make this event a success.
Neoka, you did such an amazing job putting it together. Thank you for all the time you invested in this while finishing up your school. It went flawlessly.
Thank you Joe and Lynn Sowers for all your hard work setting up, tearing down tables, doing sound, etc..., not to mention hosting at your church, Grace Brethren!
Once again, just like every other event..., We are Better Together!

It was a night to remember. What great fun we all had. There was laughter, music, some tears (from proud parents). It was an incredible blessing to see the Lord manisfest Himself so creatively through His children. I long to see where these first steps will take them as they continue to take baby steps in honoring their parents and the Lord with their gifts.
We will have a short video presentation of the event put together by two of our teen volunteers to showcase their talent as they hold on to a vision of filmaking for christ Glory.
As we closed out our year with the "ANNUAL PPEA TALENT SHOW" we hope and pray that you and your family have a peaceful and relaxing summer.
Remember to check out our website and blog from time to time to find out the new location of our South County Meetings! Mark your calendars now for our first meeting of next year....., Tuesday August 12th!

What great ideas were shared in our round table discussion. Being we are all homeschoolers at the meeting we understand the unexpected and this meeting was full of the unexpected. From forgetting the meeting was happening, to the door not getting opened on time and to the list of ideas being left at home, it still went on. With all that said, it still was still a GREAT meeting. Full of ideas with small cost and many that were free. Thank you to all those who came and made this meeting a success.
