
The Largo Public Library's free summer reading program entitled "Catch the Reading Bug" will begin registration on June 8th. Children will be encouraged to set a reading goal for the summer. Each week that they report their reading they will receive a prize and if they reach their reading goal they will be invited to an end of the summer celebration party. Every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. the library staff will present a program based on the "Catch the Reading Bug" theme and every Friday at 2:00 p.m. programs will feature an professional entertainer. The program is open to all children from birth to age twelve and includes independent readers as well as children being read to by an adult.
The Teen Room at the library will offer a summer reading inventive
program entitled "Metamorphosis". This program is open to teens from
ages thirteen to eighteen and includes weekly programs and prizes.
