There is always something exciting going on at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2008 with a series of special events and activities. From daytime events like Enrichment Day to wild nighttime events like Zoofari, there is something for everyone. All fundraising events support animal care and education programs at the Zoo, a nonprofit organization committed to excellence in conservation, education and research.
Summer Safari Night & Gator Falls Sneak Peek
Friday, June 13 from 5-8:30 p.m.
The Zoo stays open late with FREE rides after 5 p.m. Be among the first to ride Gator Falls water flume ride as a special "sneak peek" before the grand opening on Saturday, June 14! Guests can also enjoy special animal encounters, live entertainment and food and beverages from all the Zoo’s restaurants and snack stands. The Summer Safari Nights series is included in regular Zoo admission prices and is free for Zoo Pass holders.

GATOR FALLS Grand Opening Celebration
Saturday, June 14 at 9:30 a.m.
Be one of the first to hop in a log and experience the new Gator Falls water flume ride within the Lykes Florida Wildlife Center. Float down the “river” and explore native Florida with a 30-foot drop over a pair of white “albino” alligators. The first 500 guests through the front gate will recieve a commemorative Gator Falls t-shirt and unlimited access to the new ride for the day while wearing the shirt.
