The Four Info Personalities - How will you reach them all?
10:13 PM, Apr. 25, 2006
I came across a website the other day that focuses on marketing to women. We're a different breed, you know? We have specific likes and dislikes. We're moody. We are stereotyped (sometimes demeaningly). We're picky. We're smart. We can be ditzy. We're somewhat unpredictable. We're hormonal.
I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, right? In addition to our differing "personality" types (to which there are a zillion tests to quantify), someone thinks we have "info personalities." You gotta hand it to this "someone", they're pretty right on the market - so to speak. According to this article the four info personalities of women are: Ultimate Info-tasker, The Day Planner, The Environmental Homebody, and Wired Adventurer.
How can you market to these different personality types? One woman may ONLY go to homeschooling conventions. One type will ONLY read a magazine or other periodical related to homeschooling. The other type will ONLY use the Internet. Maybe the other will ONLY be persuaded by word-of-mouth. How will you reach them all?
Spread out your marketing. Look for ways to reach ALL of those women out there. Think outside the box.
"If you build it, they will come." Start building. Target those info personalities. They will come.
