Homeschool Marketers: Are You New to Blogging?
9:30 PM, Oct. 3, 2005
Welcome back to the TOS Press Room! We hope you've enjoyed learning more about some of the recent goings-on here at The Old Schoolhouse Magazine and HomeschoolBlogger.com.
If you're just dipping your corporate toes into the "blogosphere" for your public relations and marketing efforts, you might want to take a moment to read this article, written by several of the fine folks on the TOS and HSB teams.

While it was an excellent way to introduce readers to the concept of HomeschoolBlogger.com, it's also a great way for you to meet several different types of bloggers and think about what "type" you are. Every business has a certain mindset and corporate tone...how do you want to communicate that to your customers and colleagues? Whether the person blogging about your business is you or a member of your staff, the personalities of both the blogger and the business will come through.
It's up to you to make sure both are presented in a kindly light...not only for your own benefit, but for those who are trying to get to know your company or organization. But you don't have to feel limited or stuck in one mode when it comes to blogging about your business! Let your clients, colleagues, and staff see it all...the news, the plans, the fun stuff...let them get to know you and feel involved in your activities.
Be sure to click on Nancy Carter's link regarding the four types of "animals" in the business world. What a fun way to consider how we relate to others and gain insight into ourselves as well! (And in case you're wondering, PRMama is normally a Beaver; but upon occasion her Lion side takes over. *grin*)
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to sign up for your subscription to The Old Schoolhouse Magazine so you can get to know our Family of Readers...and become a member of it yourself! We still have a limited number of our promotional "Bouquet of Gifts" packets left too... http://www.thehomeschoolmagazine.com/subscribe/promo_subscribe.php Grab some back issues of TOS while you're there and enjoy our new "look"!
