THINK FIVE - And Grow!
5:00 PM, Jan. 15, 2006

Here is the challenge: Whatever you do - whatever your business is, today you must call FIVE people. No, do not email them. Call them. Any five people that would be relevant to what you are doing will qualify.

What five people should you call today? Think hard about it. Are you a maths company? Call a distributor, a store owner, a radio station to offer free gifts to the 9th caller, your local newspaper to find out who their "education editor" is. A homeschool support group leader who might like to review your program with their group in a focus study. How about a conference organizer so that you can inquire about a booth? Or a fellow business owner who may have some advice. Or a library to see about them picking up your resources. Or a blog owner about blogging your program weekly. The sky is the limit! Contacts are everywhere. You could call 20 a day if you wanted to. But let's start with five.

Are you a publisher? Do you want to invade your market? Do you want to OWN your market? Pick up the phone. "Think five" needs to be your daily mantra.

Bottom line: Your goal is to call FIVE people every day. Do it and your company will grow so fast your head will spin. "Think five."

This is wonderful advice...and so true! It's so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day business chores of bills, accounting, order fulfillment. I know that if I don't stay "in touch", I get out of the habit and less creative about marketing the business. Thanks so much for the enoucouragement!
