Put the Time in to Know Your Market
8:03 PM, Jan. 20, 2006
Are you doing your daily research? To stay on the cutting edge of marketing and public relations, make it your goal to read at least one marketing book per month. But just as important (to me, actually, more importantly), you should be (DAILY) checking out online resources like marketing blogs. Sign up for Google Alerts (news) on "homeschool marketing" or "marketing blogs", etc. Check out sites like this one which speaks directly to homeschool marketers. Search the blogs. Here's HOW.
Enter the term, "homeschool marketing" or "marketing to homeschoolers". Start leaving comments on other blogs. Make friends. But do your research daily. You'll soon have something better than any degree: marketing street smarts.
Start by signing up for the new PRMama Marketing to Go! e-Newsletter. It's free, and it's PACKED out with street smarts. Come join us! http://www.tosmag.com/devotional_door/subscribe.php

Gena,
I think this statement could easily be construed to endorse comment spamming. That is definitely NOT the way to win friends and influence people. No comment spam ever sees the light of day on my site. And frequent offenders (folks who try to slide it in under the radar) get IP-banned.
