Take the First Step!

Success in a business depends in large part upon networking and developing
relationships
with key contacts. How do you develop these networks? Well, the number
one rule is to not wait for people to come to you. Go to them!
Some of my
best opportunities have resulted by me taking the first step. I can be
a shy
person by nature, but, I have quickly learned that when you have a
business, you have to learn to make
yourself step out of your comfort zone or you are doomed to failure.
Yes, it's hard. Yes, it's embarrassing when you mess up or do something
stupid, but don't let that stop you! It
is better to try and fail, than to not try at all.
Don't
pester people, but don't be afraid to contact someone once and then
follow up a little while later if you have not heard back from them. Be
confident in yourself, your business, and your product. Don't fear rejection.
You will probably get rejected more than you will get accepted, but don't let
that stop you!
