Webelos Write Articles for Communicator Pin

The Webelos Den handwrote articles for the pack web site in order to help earn their Communicator pin.  The other Webelos's articles will be added as they are received.

from Jeremiah L.

Webelos woods was lots of fun but we couldn't stay overnight because it was to cold. But the walk and the activities were lots fun.  When I got home, I knew many more things about nature. I can't wait to go again and I hope you go too.

By,
Jeremiah L.

P.S. Don't wear cotton. Wear wool.

from Rick R.

I went to the Freezeout. I also went to the Klondike Derby. They were both the same day, and there was no snow. Since there was no snow, we did a snowshoe race instead of a klondike sled race.We went to five stations. One was a blind strecher carry. We won first place in that. I had a good time.

from Chad W.

PINEWOOD DERBY.

The pinewood is a race of little cars we make out of wood.It takes along time to build a car{well it only took me three days}. We had two ties this year the first ones in over ten years for the pack. In the heats I got nine points {you don't want points}with nine points I tied for fourth. I did great in the sweet sixteen. In the finals every race was close I just beat the third place car to move into third. So I got a trophy and now I am in the district races. Top sixteen of one hundred cars get a trophy and go on to another race.

from Stuart E.

We went on a trip to a park on a Saturday. It was called the Klondike/Freezeout. At first we went to the Klondike place and we went sledding down a very steep hill.I went down probably 5 times. I drank like gallon of Hot Chocolate! They made Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch.  After that we did a scavenger hunt while we hiked to Bonnie Park.  There we had to go to 5 stations with fun activities to do. After everybody went to each they gave trophies to the best people at each station. Then we all said a prayer and then everybody left. It was the best!!!!!

from Aaron H.

I think you should be in Weblow's because you get to do lots of great stuff. We get to do the ready man.  And the Pine wood derby, Weblows woods and the freeze out.  And the Pine wood derby i got in first place and 2nd place was Joshua L., 3rd place was Chad W. and 4th place was Ricky R.  I was very proud of myself and every body else. There was allot of cool looking cars and every race my car was in it won.  All of these stuff was fun.  i moved to the Finals.

from Logan D.

Aaron H. won  first place in the pine wood derby. And I, Logan D., am glad that he won. I hope he wins again .I hope I get at least 2nd place next year. But as the saying goes (may the best car win).

from Gregory G.

On Sunday March 6th the Boy Scouts and the Cub Scouts had a Pinewood Derby.  It was a lot of fun.  Erin won the first place trophy.  Joshua won the second place trophy and Chad won the third place trophy.  Last, but not least, Ricky R. won the fourth place trophy.  We had a steel, big track.  The track had four lanes.  The track was also digital so it could tell who came in 4th 2nd 3rd and 1st.  I am glad that Erin won the first place trophy because he is new to Cub Scouts.  Also he is a good friend.  The boy scouts sold pizza, pop, candy and chips.  They were selling snacks and pop because they want to raise money for camping and camping supplies.  I think the Pinewood Derby was great.

from Joshua G.

On Sunday, March 5 we had a Pinewood Derby race.  My car was orange and blue with lots of decals.  My brother's was blue with dragon decals.  My car wasn't very fast, it probably came in 16th place.  My brother's car came in 10th place.  My friend in the Weblos pack got 1st place.  In another den Joshua got in 2nd place.  Chad got in 3rd place.
