Well today is our last school day. The kids had to finish 100 lessons in their math textbooks before we could officially declare SUMMER HOLIDAY time. Jordan finished his this morning and Deanna is just finishing lesson 100 right now. Whoohoo! They did really well at meeting this goal and worked super hard to get it all done before camping.
Speaking of camping... we leave for camping on Friday. We bought an RV last year and this weekend will be its maiden voyage for us. We are super excited to try it out. For many years we have borrowed a friends tent trailer to camp in but my old bones just couldn't take sleeping on the hard beds anymore. So our two major criteria while we were shopping for an RV was a decent bed and a bathroom. Our "new to us" RV has both. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet, so morning trips to the facilities were quite painful for me with the tent trailer. Now it will only be a few painful steps instead of a hike. :o)
I have been working on making a master camping list to reference for packing and supplies. Here is what I came up with (did I miss anything...???):
