Ma Cong has transferred to the rehabilitation hospital!!

Sorry it's been so long since I last updated. We had a good week away last week and enjoyed not having the phone ringing off the hook. We slept well and had time with friends, as well as lots of family time so that was good. It was interesting, though, that our first night back home I dreamed of earthquakes! Since coming back I've been in contact with Ma Cong again, but our contact is definitely not as frequent as before but that is okay. I think we both feel that we don't have a lot of new things to say to each other. I only knew him for about a week and a half that he was in our city, and now he's been gone for seven and a half weeks! I talked to him on Monday and he said that he would be transferring to the rehab hospital this week to get fitted for his artificial leg. Last night he sent me a text message to say that he would be fitted tomorrow! I promptly did an internet search and found this: Ma Cong goes to the rehab hospital I know that you can't read the Chinese but you can see the pictures. The boy in the blue hospital shirt is Ma Cong. He was worried that he wouldn't get to transfer because his temperature had been elevated all day. There is one picture where he looks quite worried...in that one he is taking his temperature one last time. It was normal and he was transferred! The boy in the green shirt transferred a couple of weeks ago and so he was "showing them the ropes" and what it would be like at the rehab hospital. Ma Cong also told me that he would be coming back to our city in the next month or so! YEAH! Keep on, Ma Cong! You are doing great! |
