Chinglish--Christian Bilingual homeschooling in Taiwan

Apr. 25, 2008 - end of the week.....

well, it's Friday. As I write this, we have Chinese lesson and history or science to do. I really am lazy on those subjects. We are doing fine in English, though I admit, we skipped the telephone introductions and other introductions and we breezed over writing letters. I think we work on those as we do them. We are on poetry. We are almost finished our English book. I will then work on writing after we are done.

The other day, a family from the USA was here in Taiwan visiting family (the husband is half Taiwanese). They are adopting two boys ages 3 and 2. We were the ones who introduced/referred them to the boys. The boys are in foster care. It was such a great time to see the boys and their two children playing and all. The boys warmed up after a little bit and let them hold them and kiss on them. It was hard to leave. Before we left, Luke said a prayer of blessing on all the families and children. The foster moms were there, and it was hard for them too. Pray the case goes quickly!!

We are also preparing another family for a baby boy! Baby isn't due til June, but there unfortunately is a long story behind it. God really has been protecting this baby. If mom wasn't in jail for all her pregnancy, she would be smoking, drinking and doing drugs.........God is working. Please pray for us as we are working on 3 cases for children to get to wonderful Christian families.

Well, if you see our ticker to the side.............Anna Joy is to make her appearance in just 2 months. Good!! sleeping is getting hard to do:-) please pray she changes positions, she is breech right now and honestly, those "put your tushy in the air" exercises give me a headache!!!LOL!! so ..........we'll see as i go back to dr on Tuesday.

have a great one!
