May. 7, 2008 - hump day.....
well, today was not a good day................I don't know, maybe it's the still gettin' over the "bug" that hit our oldest on Sunday, maybe it's the durn weather that goes back and forth back and forth, maybe it's the age difference? my youngest two can play for hours without hardly an incident...........but add the oldest into the mix and well...............there is incident after incident.............it is exhausting. AND maybe it is just everyone getting anxious for Ms. Anna Joy to get here................who knows!!!!!
Speaking of Ms. Anna Joy.......I am not sure what position she is in, she feels like she did some more moves and changed again!!! we'll find out next week.......Anna's Chinese name is "Jyie Shin" which means "pure heart" AND I am pulling for her tribal name of "Hana" which is the Japanese word for "flower". Luke's uncle, the official "head of the family" suggested "Dabus".....which I don't know what that means, but I have a neice here who has that name. My tribal name is Hana, but would like my daughter to have it................so have I just confused you all? Tribal names.....yes, all our boys have tribal names. Luke is from the Atayal Tribe here in Taiwan. Ds1 is Hagow (great grandpa's name), ds2 is Nohli (Luke's uncle's name since they also have the same birthday), and ds3 is Suyaan.........I think it was Luke's dad's name.......Luke's name is Bisow (actually sounds like pizza but with a "b"sound!!LOL!!!).....I call him "O ji Saan" which is basically "grandpa" in Japanese....LOL!!!!! he thinks he is getting old..........all 43 years of him. He was trying to tell me I was 35yr and I just told him NO I AM NOT!!! Then he was adding it up with the "you know I am right" tude (men!!).........then he realized he was wrong.........even ds1 about fell out of his chair laughing at daddy's expression!!!LOL!!!
Today we were blessed with a package!! Of course, as soon as my boys see a box from the PO, they say "Pop-pop?".....I didn't know we were getting a package. A wonderful young couple we know sent us coffee for Luke, wonderful smelling hand soap for me, a cute little dress for Anna and a HUGE bag of Lincoln Logs!!!! they have been playing all afternoon............only a few um....situations.....mostly all ok. It is like Lincoln Log city or something!! i mean ALOT!!!
We only did a like 2 subjects today for school, the mood of the day was a bad one and quite honestly, I am not up for any issues...........
On a ministry note: I learned today that our county, Taitung, has the highest rate of unwed mothers...........but not a single unwed mother home or much of an unwed mother ministry (God is working in our hearts though!!). BUT a young couple from center of the island has been contacting me. They are due with a baby girl beginning of June and due to poverty can't take care of her. Because the couple is married, the USA won't allow the child to be adopted to the USA. BUT we may have found a family. So please, do pray for that. They have been looking for a family (via the internet) but no one has responded to them. The news has mentioned that the number of abandoned or not wanted children/infants is higher and higher, but the number of those adopting is lower and lower. Please do pray for guidance in this ministry that God is leading and burdening us for. We have 3 cases going on right now and kinda translating only for a 4th one...................wisdom, endurance and persaverance.................that's what we need............as well a resources:-)..........but God will bring that along as we go!!!
