May. 14, 2008 - ok, not fun!!
guess what happened at 2:30ish am.........................I was sleeping ever so soundly when WE HAD AN EARTHQUAKE!!!!! I have not heard where the epicenter was, but feeling the force, it was in our area...........I just shot up in bed, adrenaline flowing (to the point of feeling sick) and waited to see what was going to continue..............it was short, maybe 3-5 seconds, but just enough to freak one out.
I didn't sleep much after that to say the least and now, I AM TIRED!!!! going to lay down........................there are some Chinese homeschoolers we haven't heard from on my yahoo chinese homeschoolers group, so please continue to pray

I remember all of the earthquakes we had while growing up in CA... They can be scary - praying for you guys...!

I hope you won't have any more of those. I wonder if it was an aftershock from the big one in China. It would be interesting to see a map of the faults in that part of the world.
My parents live on an island in the Puget Sound and just found out they are right on top of a fault! We can only remember 1 or 2 earthquakes there, though (in about 25 years).

I've only been in a few earthquakes, but nothing to the magnitude that you've experienced.... they were terrifying...
It's part of the reason we live in the Eastern US now...
