Why Knot
Oct. 2, 2006 - Grim news in the EU: German Court Upholds Law Prohibiting Homeschooling

I've been following this one on the blog, and the more I follow it, the more I think it has implications here in our United States. Our courts have taken to citing European Union court cases as precedent on occasion.

I feel strongly that even here in super-liberal California, the day when homeschooling becomes illegal is far away, if it ever even happens at all, but the trend does not appear to be encouraging these days.

The seeds of socialism, sown so long ago, have certainly taken root in the minds of many Americans, but despite media concentration on anti capitalist, anti-conservative idea's I believe that the majority of Americans understand the issues. Why else would so many of us be turning to homeschooling? We don't want our children being taught things that we know to be wrong. There is no other way to say it. We don't want our children lied to or taught false doctrine.

Going back to the seed analogy. I think it's time for some paradigmatic Round-up. Kill these false teachings at their root, and instill some pre-emergent God centered ideals.

Until then, the best I can do is point to the issues and ask the occasional question. Other brighter minds than my own can sort out the answers.

So here's the update:

As a father, with soon-to-be homeschool aged children I have taken an interest in the subject, and been watching the movement as it grows in our culture. Who can blame us for wanting to protect our beloved children from the horrible influences of our public indoctrination centers. Societal opposition to homeschooling seems to be coming out of the woodwork as organizations like the Teachers Unions and other socialistic groups realize that somebody might actually disagree with them. My thought is that I just might be able to serve those of like mind in some small way through this blog. We'll see if my concept plays out well or not. To God be the Glory, Papa Chanoli
