Summer

I have no idea what I am going to do with my children this summer. I want to find a good social activity for them. There are a few day camps and daycares that I can choose from. But I am not sure if I want to go that route. If I choose a day camp here are the things that I will not like: 1. the cost- I will have to pay $10-18 a day for each child, 2. I will have to get up early to drop them off 3. any vacations will have to be planned around their schedule. There are swimming lessons, karate, baseball and the library has a program. I know for sure I will have my kids in the summer reading program. Because they are 5 and 3 they will go for storytime even though my five year old can read. I probably wont do day camp because I dont want to pay and that is more time away from my kids. I know that churches always have VBS which are free so I will look into that.

I like to try (key word here...try) to visit a different park each week with my kids during the summer. I remember when I was a kid it was just fun to just play. No real schedule or routine....just playing. And we'd get bored eventually and that would help us to actually want to go back to school in the fall. VBS is great too. My kids love VBS! Enjoy the break from the school year!
