Be Thankful

Be Thankful

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God.”  Even when we have a bad day in school God still gives us plenty of things to be thankful for.  We have family, friends, a house to live in, and a good church to go to.  In Psalms 100:4 it says, “Enter into His gates (enter prayer) with thanksgiving.”  During our prayer we need to thank God for all the things He has done.  He has given us a way to go to heaven, He gives us good health, and protects us.  In I Thessalonians 5:17 it tells us to pray without ceasing.  We should pray throughout the day thanking God for His wonderful blessings.

Be Saved Today

God’s Will For Girls
 Be Saved Today

God’s will is for you to be saved.  In 2 Corinthians 6:2 the Bible says now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation.  If you look in Isaiah 53:6 you will see that all have gone astray from God.  Our sin keeps us from going to heaven.  Romans 6:23, tells us that the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.  Now, turn to Acts 16:31, that says that if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you will be saved.  So, how do you get to heaven?  Believe and ask the Lord to save you.  He is the only way.

A Devotion

Written by Mackenzie (Who will be 9 very soon).

God’s Will For Girls

Do Pure and Right Things

The Lord looks down on us girls.  He watches how we act and knows our thoughts, whether they are good or bad.  Others that are around us watch us too.  The Bible tells us this in Proverbs 20:11, “Even a GIRL is known by HER doings, whether HER work be pure, and whether it be right.”  If we obey our parents right away with the right attitude the Lord will see it.  If we do it with an unhappy heart, the Lord sees that too.

The things that are pure and right are in the Bible.  We must read it to know what they are so we can do them.  Others will know we are trying to obey the Bible by the things we do.

A Promise

Posted on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 07:22 in Devotions from others

A Promise
Jesus came from heaven above to die on a tree at Calvary for all my sins that I have done.  O, what a Savior.  O, what a friend.  He will keep you to the end.  If you are saved you’ll go to heaven to stay with him forever

God's love is a Haven in the Storms of Life

God's Love is a Haven in the Storms of Life
By Helen Steiner Rice

God's love is like and island
in life's ocean vast and wide-
A peaceful, quiet shelter
from the restless, rising tide.
God's love is like a fortress,
and we seek protection there
When the waves of tribulation
seem to drown us in despair.
God's love's a sanctuary
where our souls can find sweet rest
From the struggle and the tension
of life's fast and futile quest.
God's love is like a tower
rising far above the crowd,
And God's smile is like the sunshine
breaking through a threatening cloud.
God's love is  like a beacon
burning bright with faith and prayer,
And through the changing scenes of life
we can find a haven there.
For God's love is fashioned
 after something enduring
And it is endless and unfailing
like His character above.
