1. That my sins are washed away by the precious blood of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
2. My husband. He is such a wonderful, patient man. He helps with the homeschooling, he does the dishes more often than I do, he plays with the kids, he is a great father, he is devoted to Jesus, he always puts other people's needs before his own, he does not get angry with me, even when I deserve it. He is always understanding and always kind, he lives out 1 Corinthians 13:1-7 so well that I could his name in place of the word "love" and the entire passage would still be completely true. He shows his love in so many little ways, for instance, today he knew that I would be taking the kids to their art class make-up and going to the library after. He knew that I would get home too late to get dinner on the table on time, so he started up the main dish in the crock-pot before he left for work. He knew he wouldn't be here to eat it because he works swing shift, but he knew that he could help me, so he did it. If he comes home and the house is a disaster, he never asks, "Why can't you clean up around here?" No, instead he gets the vacuum out and does the floor without ever a single complaint. He brings me coffee in the morning. He helps with the laundry, cleaning the bathroom, caring for the pets, everything. When I am moody and say something mean, he might look hurt, but never angry. I simply do not understand how God would count me worthy of such a man. Perhaps God knew that only a man such as my husband would be able to put up with ME! So, in case he ever reads this, I want to send him a message:
and I'd marry you all over again!
3. My children, any mother knows what I mean so I don't have to elaborate. Where would I be without them? They (along with my Lord and my husband) are my world, my reason for breathing, my heartbeat, my inspiration, my.... everything. I am so privileged to take part in raising them in the love and admonition of the Lord.
4. My church. Strong teaching in the word, vibrant worship, and... a homeschooling pastor! Also, I am welcomed in my jeans and tennies!
5. My country. I am so thankful to live in a country where I have the right to worship my God and raise my children in the way I believe He wants me too!
