So, how many of you want your daughters to be FORCED to share a locker room with teenage boys? If so, I suggest you move to California and enroll them in Public School just as fast as you can!Worldnet Daily Article
Just a few facts according to the article:
Boys and girls can choose which locker room to use and it will be illegal to deny them access. (What fun showers after gym will be!)
In textbooks the words "husband" and "wife" will be shunned in favor of terms like "life partner".
The words "mom", "dad", "mother" and "father" are now considered offensive. (I wonder if they'll be allowed to read the Little House Books, that awful Laura Ingalls always calls her parents "Ma" and "Pa").
This just goes too far. Even if you do support homosexual rights, I just don't see anything wrong with words like "husband", "wife", or 'mother" or "father". The fact is, I AM my children's MOM. Even if we have a neighbor child who is being taken care of by a same-sex couple, my kids still have a mom and a dad and shouldn't be made to feel like it something weird that must be hidden.
This is law now folks, the lines are being drawn, those on the fence will soon have to choose sides. War has been declared on decency and common respect for privacy. Families are seen as the enemy and the state is seen as the force for positive social change. It goes beyond gay rights and becomes the squashing of the rights of our kids and ourselves to have dignity and bodily privacy. Kids are encouraged to NOT include their parents in discussions about these things.
This is an outrage. Oh, I won't go on. Just follow the link and read it yourself.
Okay, I am adding this a few hours after my original post. On a message board someone suggested that the article was not accurate, so I checked the facts. The bill does not mandate the sharing of locker rooms, but it does open the door to that by redefining sex as a person's gender identity. If someone can say that they "really" belong to the other gender, then the law says the schools must classify them as such. Time will tell whether the courts will interpret this to mean that they should join those "born into" that gender they claim when it comes to facilities such as locker rooms and restrooms.
