Hi friends, if you need to silence the music just hit the play/pause button on the player in the right sidebar, just below the black horse and the copyright notice.
Okay, I've been short on time as I wrap up this year and prepare for next. So I haven't posted much. Here are some photos, I promise to write something soon.
The Black Plague Comes to Our House, (Via our history studies, of course!) Fortunately, we have two authentic plague doctors on hand:
And during this time, we also had yet ANOTHER unexpected Visitor:
Now, usually I am quite hospitable to visitors, but I'm afraid I couldn't be this time. He made an audible "crunch" under my shoe, that's how big he was was!
I tell you I don't get tired of seeing those
2plague doctors, they seem to be doing
a great job what beautiful memories
they will have of school, so much love
I LOVED your post "The Well Drained Mind" - so well said! I often put a lot of pressure on myself as well, but have decided since testing it done and we are approaching burnout level, to declare school done for the year (besides hitting a few things in the summer casually)...
Hope you have a great day!
Janet
(who is still shuddering from that spider?? picture - yikes!)
I have to ask what kind of spider that is?? Was he in your home?? He looks huge. If I remember I will take a picture of our spiders here, very small in comparison to that one!!
Wrap up the year, are you done schooling?
I am receiving gr. 2 curriculum on May 31 at our local hs fair. I am thinking of starting very soon after. Breaking for fun day trips or when daddy takes some holidays.
God Bless

A record of our homeschooling journey (and my random thoughts), as we look to the Lord to show us the Path Of Life. We are a homeschooling family with a strong leaning toward the Classical and Charlotte Mason styles, but since we blend the two philosophies, along with whatever other ideas we like, we classify our homeschool as eclectic.
Our School Mascot
As you can see, my kids adopted a school mascot, feel free to feed him an apple or brush him by clicking on the button that says "more".

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE PLUS VERSION! IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND THEN SOME!
I am a nice blend of cat and dog.
I'm playful but not too needy. And I'm friendly but careful.
And while I have my moody moments, I'm too happy to stay upset for long.
Mr. Potato Head You have your ideal of how things should look, but youre flexible enough to allow for change. You are not bothered by changing methods, mid-course if necessary. You use an eclectic combination of curriculum sources. Visit my blog: http://www.GuiltFreeHomeschooling.org Take this quiz!
