Well, its been a very long time since I've blogged! I've been very busy with planning next years curriculum, doing year-end testing, doing "summer school", having house guests, etc. etc. etc.
I thought I'd begin blogging again, by catching up on some random photos, so here goes...

Well, as you can see, we've been busy not only with homeschool planning, testing, and summer school. We've also been busy having lots of fun!

My kitty disappeared last Friday. I don't know what happened to him. He was neutered when we got him from the pound, so he really has no motivation to take off for days. I'm afraid the coyotes got him.
Of course I know he *could* still show up... but I am not expecting it. I miss him a lot, and decided to take the photos I have of him and make a slide show.

Well, I guess its time to catch up on some photos for our Project 365.
I'll just post the photos, the dates they were taken, and perhaps a short sentence commenting on them when appropriate.
April 23rd- Another Unexpected Visitor:

April 26th, Our New Globe:

April 26th, Our Old Globe (Notice it has no stand):

April 29, for our History and Geography Studies, Turkish Dancing Bears, they are not glued to the paper, they have moving arms and legs made out yarn, the paper just made a good clear background to set them on:
Youngest daughter's bear:

Son's Bear:

Also April 29, for our Science studies, our Rain Gage, sitting on an antique cream separator from back when this property had milk cows:

Well, as usual, I have more to blog about, but not enough time, so until later... God bless you and have a wonderful day!

Well, while we were in the house making WEATHER IN A JAR, God was busy making some of His own weather outside:
This is NOT normal for this area in spring. Where is global warming when you need it?

Look what my husband picked up for $1.00!
We really needed it too. Our old table had a sharp metal edge that kept poking our legs and ripping our clothes!
Now, if only he could find some $1.00 chairs!
Here are our chairs:

Well, its been a long time since I've posted anything! I guess its time to make up for lost time on the Project 365 by posting a bunch of photos!
First, this is actually something that happened yesterday, but I just took the picture today. Now, whenever my kids don't like something, or they think its foolish, they will say "blah blah". For some reason though when they right it down they spell it without the "h". Now here is what I found on the bottom of my daughters homeschool tracker list... revealing her feelings about algebra:
Notice the "x=frustration" equation.
Then, on the next list. She became violent, and murdered poor little x.

That is a little x, waving his arms around and looking at us with big cookie monster eyes, saying "Don't shoot me!" And that is my daughter, sitting down, pointing a gun and saying, "No! I will shoot you! Ha ha he he he!"
The rest of my photos today are just intended to glorify God by showing off his handiwork:

Today I realized that my dog and cat were one day overdue for their monthly flea treatment. Now, this treatment is very important because my kitty is allergic to flea bites and will break out in a horrible rash, and even lose large clumps of hair if we don't keep on top of the flea situation. So I went immediately to get his treatment.
I opened up the outer packet (the blue one) and took out the inner packet. I bent the little tab away from me... the only problem is, if you bend the tab away, the opening is toward you... the teeniest micro-drop of the stuff flew out of the opening and exploded like a nuclear warhead in my eye!
No wonder fleas don't like this stuff! I handed the flea stuff to my daughter, stuck my face in the kitchen sink, and rinsed my eyeball off with water from the faucet. After showering my eye and drying off, I had to hunt down the kitty who had slipped outside at some point in the commotion.
Well, I guess the kitty is taken care of for another month. Next time maybe I should get the safety goggles from our chemistry set!

A record of our homeschooling journey (and my random thoughts), as we look to the Lord to show us the Path Of Life. We are a homeschooling family with a strong leaning toward the Classical and Charlotte Mason styles, but since we blend the two philosophies, along with whatever other ideas we like, we classify our homeschool as eclectic.
Our School Mascot
As you can see, my kids adopted a school mascot, feel free to feed him an apple or brush him by clicking on the button that says "more".
