Just thought I would pop in and share what I have done this evening. My family and I went out back and picked apples off of our two trees and then my husband and I got busy and put them up in the freezer for future use. Our apple trees are not that big yet but still had quite a few apples on them.
I ended up with a gallon of sliced apples for baking this winter.
Then I still had a few tomatoes that needed to be put up. So I made Home-made Salsa with them. My little bunch of tomatoes ended up in 10 pints of Salsa. I make a simple recipe of it and then put it in freezer jars that Ball makes and put them in the freezer.
I was wanting to quilt some this evening but I did not get to that. Well there is always tomorrow evening after evening church.
Have blessed Sunday with your families and remember to thank God for something tonight.
I went last night up to church to be with the ladies. Every Monday night, anybody who wants to, meets up at church around 7:00 p.m. and we all work on whatever project we have going at that time.
Some of the ladies are scrapbooking, and others, like me, are quilting. We do have one lady who is working on cross-stitching.
This night is for ladies only and no children allowed (except babies who need fed.). I mean if you show up with your little ones, nobody is going to care, we just all try to leave them at home for the evening with daddy.
Two of my daughters comes along for they are working on projects of their own. One is quilting, all by herself, and the other is working on her scrapbook.
I was able to finish cutting out all of my 2"squares for my tablerunner, all 108 of them!!! This week I will be hand sewing them together to make 3 different blocks of 36 squares together. It will take some time but I so enjoy hand sewing my quilted items instead of using the machine.
