I have noticed that one of the things that alot of us say is that we have problems doing our daily devotions. I have also noticed that we talk about we can't do it at a certtain time or for a certain amount of time. I think we get so hung up in all that, that we end up giving up and satan has won. What if we took it one step at a time. Like this...
1) Every morning before you get out of bed, pray and thank God for the day and ask Him to guide your steps or whatever you need; work on that until you are doing it every day.
2) Pick a verse that goes with where you are in your life, work on memorizing it. Type it up or write it down, put it on your fride, computer screen, bathroom mirror, work on learning that verse and then another.
3) Play spiritual music quietly in the background throughout your day
4) Sing songs with your kids throughout the day, while playing, walking or bathing.
5) Read a bible story to your kids or with them when putting them to bed or at snack time
Work on it, one step at a time and before you know it, spending time with God will be an important part of your day.
This is my place to share as I learn to be the Wife and Mom that God wants me to be. I am striving to be a Proverbs 31 wife, a homeschooling Mom that is training my children and grandson in the way God would have them to go. Also a place to share the joys and trials of caring for my Mom now that she can no longer care for herself.
