After finding the "truth" for myself about exercise, I've begun ... exercising that is.
I pulled out my mini-trampoline. I bounce for only 3 min. - you're supposed to work up to longer times and a higher bounce. I just bounce lightly - my feet don't even come off the trampoline. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I feel it the next day. This is great for the lymph system, and the lymph system is very important.
Also, I'm doing sit-ups, squats, twist at the waist, wall push-ups. I'm sore today, so it must be doing something.
LIE: I have to get into my exercise clothes before I can work out.
TRUTH: I can fit working out into little pockets all around my day. I can do a set of squats just before I go upstairs (I use the banister to help me balance). I can do a set of wall push-ups when I'm passing through the hall.
All or nothing is bad thinking. That was my thinking, so "nothing" became the order of the day. We put on weight when we get older because of inactivity, and because we lose our muscle mass. We need to do something to build that muscle mass, and if we don't have time to go to a gym, or carve out a block of time ... then we need to take little moments.
So far ...
The Truth - I need to exercise
The Truth - Exercise is doable
