I am brining my turkey this year. I do not remember my mother doing this, but maybe she did. A woman close to my mother's era brought a turkey that had been brined to a fellowship dinner once, and it was just delicious.
So this will be a first. I wish my mother was here, and I'd ask her if she'd done that or if my grandmother had. I think it's somewhat of a lost art.
