Latest Update on Missey

UPDATE:  Read Missey's Obituary HERE

I just want to say that by the outpouring I have seen on Missey's blog, I just know that the homeschool community is going to want to bless this family abundantly financally as well (details below).  Missey gave A LOT to the homeschool community.  She gave out of herself.  Myself - I've been blessed, no doubt, by the love she had for Ruth Beechick's methods and what she freely passed on to those on the list.  My heart feels bruised today, and I am nobody -- I cannot imagine what those are going through who are really close to Missey.  I want to know "what can I do."  Thankfully there is something - someway to help Missey's family out, and give back a small portion of what she gave to us.  Those who cannot give financially at this time, I am certain your prayers, and continued prayers of all, are most needed.

Here is the latest in a cut and pasted email from the Beechick list:  (Especially note that you can donate to the family.)

Latest Update:

For those who want to make financial donations, it would be greatly appreciated by the family.  We have set up a memorial fund at Paypal.

They did not have life insurance for Missey and I know this would be a blessing to help cover the funeral and other expenses.  Krystal is a long time friend of Missey's and mine and I can assure you that each and every penny will reach the Gray family.

The baby is doing fine and may go home tomorrow.  They had a name picked out for the baby but changed it after they lost Missey.  They named her Melissa
Kate and she weighs 5 lb, 1 oz. and is doing quite well.

Many have also asked for an address to send cards.  We are setting up a P.O.Box for this tomorrow and will give you that information as soon as it comes
available.  A member of Missey's local homeschool group is taking care of this and mail will be sent in care of her.  More details on this Friday.

Also check
http://www.homeschoolblogger.com tomorrow for a tribute to Missey.  The outpouring of comments on her blog is just amazing http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/HeartSchooling/92338/.

Please note:  Cards can also be sent here:

Do you have a mailing address? I would prefer to send donations via check, rather than online. Do they have a PO Box set up through the funeral home? Thanks.
