Laundry Soap
1 bar ivory or felsnaptha, grated as fine as possible.
  1/2cup washing soda
  1/2cup borax
1/2cup dry all fabric bleach (if you want)
1/2 cup baking soda (if you want)
  2 gallon bucket
If you choose to keep this dry, then just mix all well. Use 1 to 2 Tablespoons per load. If you prefer it liquid then do this:
Add 6 cups water to a pan. Add ivory and stir until melted. Once melted add rest of ingredients off the heat. It will get real thick real quick so make sure its off the heat. Pour 4 cups of HOT water into bucket. Add soap mix and stir well. Add 1 gallon and 6 cups of cold water and stir again. Allow it to sit for 24 hours to gel.

All purpose cleaner.
  1 quart water.
  1/4 cup ammonia
  1/4 cup white vinegar
  1 Tbl. baking soda
Combine all and pour into a spritz bottle. I clean my bathroom and kitchen this.
  O.K. one more
  Febreeze
  2 cups warm water
1/4 cup liquid fabric softener (what ever you like the smell of)
  1 Tbl. baking soda
Combine all and put in a spritzer bottle. Use as you would the expensive stuff from the store.

Thanks! Have you been using these for awhile? I'm afraid to use home-made stuff for the washer, but would love to try. How foamy does it get? Holly
