Geeze you know I really thought we would have problems with Rex(our JacK Russell) over the Christmas tree...once we got it up...i cringed for the first few hours I just knew he would "take it down" but alas he didn;t in fact he hardly even noticed the tree. I was so say the least IMPRESSED! Well we took the tree down and I pulled out the treadmill, the tree was blocking it all this time...and I opened the treadmill up and my daugher & I both walked on the treadmill...with this constant barking going on ...he has a problem with the treadmill...and he was letting us know about it....the enter time my daugher was on it he stood at the end of it barking...the entire time I was on it he stood on the couch..not 2 feet away from me barking....the minute I turned it off he shut up. So how on earth an I going to go back to walking on the treadmill at 5AM with that going on???? He will wake the kids & that will be the end on my ME time...hmph. |

We have one final Christmas party tonight...but it is a good EASY party...no fussy dressing up...no secret\dirty santa...just fun with friends. ...these friends are just the next road over and they are homeschoolers like us....they are animal people like us too.....they are fun people. So the purpose of their party? just a fun Christmas "block " party for the people around our area....and we get to go EARLY to help milk the cow.....oh we are excited. I want to go learn from them...I want to learn all about milking a cow...I'm taking a note pad with me. .My goal...to get a barn built...so we can have a milk cow & a cow to raise for butchering....my son is working for the rodeo people and he might be able to get a calf real cheap....but I don't have any shelter for it.....so that needs to change......and I have these goats...they need to be milked! |

We really have enjoyed Rex being in our family...see, isn't he cute 
he is a very busy dog & it takes alot to keep him occupied......he is very active...he likes to play ball, play chase, dig HOLES  the only thing you could see sticking up out of the ground was his itty bitty tail..of course I wasn't fast enough with the camera to get that...
of course though Rex swears up & down that HE didn't dig that hole...no way not lil ole' innocent ME...
we were just playing... ~yeah right~

OMG...it is horriffic
I have washed them in tomato sauce(didn't have juice) I have washed them in vinegar I have washed them in dog shampoo they still STINK
my gosh the pain one skunk can cause....
my house will never be the same again
3 of our 4 dogs decided to play with the little skunky....guess who WON...
I'll give you a hint..............it wasn't the dogs.... |

My dogs are such wimps... Every morning we let them out to go potty...we have a Corgi mix, a Jack Russell Terrier, & 2 Chihuahuas....so the chis are not very found of the cold weather AT ALL. The last few mornings we have let them out...VERY shortly later they are whining an awful, pitiful, really pitiful whine at the back door ....if I could understand them I swear they were crying PLEEEEESE let us back in, it is coooold out here....we promise we won't potty on ANYTHING....just let us back in the warm house.....and I haven't even turned the heater on yet...trying hard to keep that electric bill down as long as possible ya know.....& there are lots of blankets in the house...the kids can always wrap up in another blanket. We bought the last few little parts for the dog pen yesterday..yippee....D plans on finishing it today...so maybe this afternoon I can kick the bigger 2 who prefer going out & playing ...OUT....I would never kick them out in the cold..unless they WANTED to be out....and sometimes they do, they have fur...they like running & playing outside. Don't get me wrong I love the doggies....but 4 under my feet ALL DAY LONG...gets to be too much espically when they are running & playing while I'm cooking dinner...or when you are trying to fold laundry & they run across that nicely folded stack of towels...grrr....sometimes it is nice to say GO OUTSIDE......SO trixie & rex...go OUTSIDE and take your chase game with you...geeze give that dog a water bottle & he is SO happy....
