Poem Recitation AUDIO - Little Orphant Annie


 

This was my DD (9yo) memory work for October 2006. Funny, I always think it is going to take much longer than it ever does for her to memorize anything. This entire poem she had memorized in just about a week! LOL So, we spent the rest of the time just working on voice inflection... adding feeling... to the poem.

 

This is one of my favorite poems. I remember my own mom reading it to me growing up (along with other JWR poems.) She read from, and now I own, this book:

I cannot hear the poems because some reason I can't get the plugin to work...I'm sure they are wonderful. I've actually been wanting to do this with my children but have not known how to go about it. First off how old is your daughter? I have 4 boys and the oldest is 7. How do you get the memorization done? Can you post a little step by step process? Thanks.
