BBOEH (French & Indian War)

Here are some of the pages from our Tapestry of Grace Unit 2 study of the French and Indian War period.

Page 1

Page one opened up with the diamond book and map opened up.

Pages 2 and 3

Right-hand page: Keyword outline opened up  (see sample),
militia booklet opened,  and  biography cards scattered

Left hand page:  Proclamation of 1763 three-quarter fold booklet opened up, Changing Lines sheet (shown with maps from internet in place), and a King George III booklet shown.

King George III shape booklet opened, Results of F&I War flap sheet opened up (on the left)

And in studying the French and Indian War we covered a bit about fur trade, which lent itself nicely to a mini-study about beavers!
Two-page spread

Second page of "things she remembered from her readings about beavers."

what great notebooks! i'm new to homeschooling with a 6 year old. i'm trying to encourage him in notebooking this year. i love what you did with the notebooks. i have a couple questions. all those cool templates, did that all come with TOG or is that something you created for your kids? also, if you make your own notebook, can you add more pages as needed?
if you ever feel like posting more about notebooking ( how you do it, how you started off at first, how to encourage your kids to notebook, and more pictures!) i would love to read about it!

great pages

How did you get started in notebooking? It looks like you use an artist sketch book or something to hold the info in. Is this correct? Do you notebook all of your subjects?

I really want to learn more about notebooking!

Totally awesome lapbook!

I am so impressed with your notebook....this is the new product that comes with TOG? or something else? I have the classic version so I'm not sure.

Great job!

question

Awesome work! Very inspiring.

We got the lapbook CD only for unit 1 of year 1 TOG to use in our history notebook. I think we are better off just making our own.

Did you cut your ProClick spines? Or are they special ones?

Btw, do you use scrapbooking tape or glue in your notebooks? Your pages look so clean.

Absolutely spectacular work! I am saving your blog (a homeschooling friend shared yours with me!), and will be taking down notes for our own studies :)
