A Jiffy Hat
Since I was already a big fan of Harmony Art Mom I didn't hesitate to buy the clever kits her daughter started selling through her own blog, Hearts and Trees. DD enjoyed the autumnal sewing from the last kit and once *I* was corrected on some misread instructions, my DD whipped up the polar fleece hat from this winter kit in a jiffy a couple evenings ago. (It took her less than 30 minutes to hand sew and cut it all, start to finish.)
The winter kit is already sold out (but do check out her Sewing School Mini Kit #1) but if you'd like to have your kiddo make this easy hat, too, here are some free directions I dug up on the internet:
Gathered Hat -- just cut "fringe" from the top part that puffs up from the gathering if you want the fringed look.
She's soooo thrilled with her hat (you'll see it in action in an upcoming post!) The color of fleece Hearts & Treessent us couldn't have been more perfect. It goes nicely with her winter coat!
