I subscribe to a LOT of blogs, too many to list here.
But I'll change this listing up from time to time, as the mood hits me.

Simple Woman's Daybook- May 19, 2008
Outside my Window...is a bit of overcast, 3 Golden Finches on the finch sock.
I am thinking...about how I'm NOT looking forward to retaking the final exam in my online college Biology class. (The window crashed and closed last night *just* as I was getting ready to hit the "submit" button to send in all my answers. I had to wait till this morning for them to reset my student I.D. in order to be able to log back in to take it.) BUMMER!!!
I am thankful for...for the work my husband did the weekend in readying the fence around our garden area, cleaning out the birdbath, and dealing with the giant bale of hay we got for our guinea pigs. Simple helps like these are SOOO wonderful and I really appreciate each one.
From the kitchen...this afternoon DD has track practice so dinner is going to be DH's efforts tonight. We'll be having oven "fried" chicken (he already knows what to do) and whatever else he whips up. There are plenty of leftovers in the fridge so I'm hoping we just dabble into those, too, for side dishes.
I am creating...on this front I actually have the week off! *GASP* Can you believe it! Nothing new to do/work on this week for homeschooling, nothing to plan.
I am going...to shorten up my sweat pants/jogging suit pants. This is something I'm wanting to do to extend the life of these pants that keep getting shorter and shorter even though they don't go into the dryer and only get washed in cold. I figured I could shorten them to capri length and still wear them without feeling like I'm going to a flood. I can buy new LONG sweat suits later this fall/winter as needed. But these I have now have nothing wrong with them except they're just a tiny bit too short.
I am wearing...flannel pajama bottoms and a night shirt. Shower will be coming after lunch, before heading out on errands then to track practice.
I am hoping...for lots of sunshine this week.It doesn't look favorable though with our expected high of only 54°F. Maybe I should just hope for "no snow" LOL... I think I'd be okay in that aspect. i'm also hoping to find some okra seeds today to get into the ground in the next few days.
I am hearing...DD practicing her recorder. She's learning a new song from the Nine-Note Recorder Method book.
Around the house...I'm wanting to get a new shelf of some type for downstairs. I need one in my "work area" over here by the computer. I need to change the laundry over and get thinking about a lunchtime meal.
One of my favorite things...is Fresca soda. I know, I know.. but it is sugar free & caffeine free at least!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...finish up with DD's track practices and Girl Scouts for the school year, make a treat to take to the Girl Scouts awards ceremony, finish watching the PBS mini-series I DVR'd Cranford (you can watch these online for free right here!) and finish printing off the art pieces for our study of Copley (somehow that fell off my radar and never got completed!)
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
