I subscribe to a LOT of blogs, too many to list here.
But I'll change this listing up from time to time, as the mood hits me.

Veteran's Day homeschooling--
Because Daddy is off of work today we had an abbreviated day of lessons. Corrections in math, practicing of Tae Kwon Do, & finishing the science experiment/journaling were the only things assigned.
Here is the result of the "cell membrane" experiment from yesterday. It hasn't even been a full 24 hours.
The iodine very clearly passed through the
plastic baggie into the cornstarch/water mixture.
And here is what I saw after her assignments were done:
She's working on her penguin report. I had to show her how to
use MS Word graphs because the World Book graphing
capability only allowed 16 things to be compared and she had 17 she wanted
to work with. Note the date in the perpetual calendar! LOL
Seems she's not updated it since 10/21!Also, the yellow and blue boxes
on the window ledge contain the writing prompts for copywork (yellow)
and creative writing (blue). Those rotate day to day and
she just selects a slip of paper from whichever day's it is.
Well, kiddo is wanting to do an art lesson (one we didn't quite get to yesterday.... so, off I go!
question about your yellow and blue boxes on the window

Hi,
My name is Brenda, I live in Washington State and homeschool my 3 children ages 8, 5 , 1.
God placed in my heart a deep desire to homeschool my children and my dear husband totally agreed. I was so scared to homeschool because I didn't know where to start.
Searching in the internet I found your wonderful site when you started to homeschool your daughter. I was so inspired by you and all that fear left. It's really silly but many times I sit in front of the computer to read this blog and I cry thanking God for you because of the inspiration I get from reading your blog.
Thank you so much for the time that you take to post.
I am very new to this and your creativity just turns on the light bulb in my brain.
Where did you get those blue and yellow boxes and the things inside, did you make or did you buy it?
My 8 year old son loves to write and little things like this really get him creative.
Thank you for your time. I really appreciate your blog.
