Small Successes Thursday
I came across this new weekly meme today and thought I'd join in. Easy. No pressure. Positive. Right up my alley.
"It’s important for moms to recognize that all the
small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So let’s do that."
Got kiddo's annual (routine) doctor physical scheduled AND completed it yesterday. (She grew 1.5" more since last January!) And even got my annual well-woman physical scheduled for next week.
Cut out and sewed up pieces for my first quilted table topper. Following instructions out of the Quilting for Beginners book by Coats and Clark. So far, so good. Today I'd like to finish all of the quilt top piecing, if time allows. (hat tip: Melanie)
Delighted in the theatrical prowess our DD showed in her performance of Oz with a Wicked Twist. She had two parts, a few dance/singing sequences and even a few lines to speak. Definitely a step up from last year's theatrical debut in Grease, Jr. I count this as a small success for me, because my heart just overflowed with joy when I saw her LOVING this theatre season, enjoying the friendships she made, and really diving into the parts. Her success just warms my heart.
