Oct. 24, 2008 - Jammie Junk Food Day

We held Jammie Junk Food day a week early this month since next Friday is Halloween.  I had already been to the story twice this week and had forgotten about JJFD and I refused to go back!!  So I acutally made homemade cinnamon rolls.  This was a first for me making them completely from scratch.  And if I do say so myself they turned out great and only 3points a piece to boot!  So I got to eat 2 of them, yum yum!  We had it planned (at least I did) to watch The Muppets Treasure Island.  I loved watching the muppets growing up.  Well the kids weren't that excited about it and it lost their interest pretty quickly.  Alexa actually fell asleep.  Joshua and Savannah went off to play but of course Anastasia stayed to watch it  because she knew she could avoid school work this way!

Sep. 25, 2008 - Jammie Junk Food Day

Today is Jammie Junk Food Day.  Stay in your jammies eat some junk food or have a special treat while doing school.  Then be sure and snuggle together to read some books or watch a special movie.

Be sure and take pictures.  Share about it on your blog and then come back here and sign mr. linksy to let us all know about it! 

We had a great Jammie Day!!  Savannah ate Mac and cheese for breakfast.  We watched PeterPan Return to Neverland while eating donuts, popcorn and oatmeal cookies (oatmeal is a breakfast food  ).  Anastasia made the cookies and donuts into a mickey face since we were watching a Disney movie. Then we had to get some schooling done so we read stories and the kids did centers and activity bags which they love to do!!!  We ate a decent lunch to counter our morning food.  Daddy wished he called in sick to have a jammie day with us!

Sep. 23, 2008 - Reminder.....This Friday is Jammie Junk Food Day

Just a friendly reminder that this Friday is Jammie Junk food day!  Join in on the fun by doing school in your jammies snuggle up read some books or watch a movie.  Be sure and have some junk food to eat (or just a special treat)

Aug. 29, 2008 - Jammie Junk Food Day

 It's official!!!!  The last Friday of each month is Jammie Junk Food Day for our homeschool and we want you to join us each month.   My sister and I heard the term "Jammie Junk Food Day" at a homeschool convention a couple of years ago and we would have one here and there.  Well now I am declaring the last Friday of each month to be Jammie Junk Food Day.  Do school in your Jammies and have a special treat (junk food).  So today we stayed in our jammies and had donuts and hot chocolate (we can at least pretend it is not hot and muggy outside still )and then it was special movie time with popcorn.  After that  the little ones went down for a rest and Anastasia finished up math, spelling and reading and I did math with Joshua. 

Mark your calendars and join us for the next Jammie Junk Food day on September 26.  Instead of a special movie we will have special reading time and read books all with a Jammie theme such as: Llama Llama Red Pajama.  If you know of any good books with this theme let me know.
