FOR TODAY January 5th, 2009...
Outside my window... It is still dark and quiet
I am thinking... It is going to be a busy week but I am glad to start school back with the kids.
I am thankful for... My husband and his balancing act of many full plates
From the learning rooms...We are getting back into our routines of school today. Off to co-op today. From the kitchen... there is lots of left over mexican food and I need to clean out the fridge.
I am wearing...pj's still
I am creating...lesson plans for a unit study on dinosaurs. I am also making a master grocery shopping list.
I am going... to work on getting Natasha to sleep through the night this week. I am reading...Becoming the Woman God Wants Me To Be: A 90-Day Guide to Living the Proverbs 31 Life by Donna Partow
I am hoping...to stay on track this week with houshold chores and school
I am hearing...soft music playing and a baby sleeping
Around the house...Everything is still sleeping it is all quiet. I just woke up to nurse the baby and I need to go back to sleep!
One of my favorite things... burning a scented candle.
A few plans for the rest of the week...to co-op, dr. appt. picture appts, park day and shopping this week

The weather is actually cool!!
I am thinking...
of everything I need to remember to bring to co-op today
I am thankful for...
for cooler weather because my kids love to play outside
From the kitchen...
it is clean and quiet waiting for us to come have breakfast, It is also decorated for fall.
I am wearing...
jeans and a black shirt
I am creating...
plans for fall
I am going...
to teach at co-op today
I am reading...
James and the Giant Peach to the kids
I am hoping...
we get out of here on time and not the usual mad dash!
I am hearing...
Alexa waking up after geyying into our bed last night. Normally I don't mind but she is such a wiggle worm.
Around the house...
Everyone is starting to wake up and get dressed

of how excited the kids are to go to their first day of Co-op school
I am thankful for...
my family
From the kitchen...
the kids are quietly eating their sausage mcmuffins
I am wearing...
jeans and a black shirt
I am creating...
new units for the upcoming weeks
I am going...
to spend the day with Alexa and Natasha while the other three are at Co-op. Iam looking forward to it.
I am reading...
Women of the Bible devotional and it is excellent. I am also starting to read The Mission of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson
I am hoping...
that our day runs pretty smoothly
I am hearing...
Savannah and Anastasia argue

We have to get our stuff together to leave

Outside My Window...
It is a beautiful clear blue sky
I am thinking...
of how my hubby is handling everything at work today. There are a lot of changes coming up.
I am thankful for...
God who hears our prayers and will lead us in the right direction
From the kitchen...
all is quiet and clean just waiting for us to start our day.
I am wearing...
my jammies. I need to go get ready for the day after this.
I am creating...
lists, lists, and more lists...we have so many decisions to make
I am going...
to try and drink hot tea today instead of coffee. We will see how that goes! Although I do like tea, I like coffee better!
I am reading...
Women of the Bible devotional and it is excellent. I am also starting to read The Mission of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson
I am hoping...
that our day runs pretty smoothly and everyone stays on track
I am hearing...
relaxing music playing from the computer. (We sleep to it each night)
Around the house...
It is peaceful and quiet right now everyone is still sleeping. I was able to complete my Bible study and now get this done before the day begins.

It is a beautiful clear blue sky

how I love snuggling with Alexa in the mornings. She is always the first to wake up.
I am thankful for...
my husband who got up and left for work by 4:30 this morning after a busy weekend
From the kitchen...
it is clean and ready for me to go start breakfast (eggs and grits today)
I am wearing...
a white shirt and jean capris. I still need to brush my hair from after my shower.
I am creating...
ideas of fun things to put in my kids backpacks for our trip next week.
I am going...
plan lessons today and start making a list of what we need to bring on our trip.
I am reading...
Women of the Bible devotional
I am hoping...
to put into practice several of the things we learned at the homeschool convention this past weekend.
I am hearing...
Alexa sitting on my bed putting away her cards.
Around the house...
It is peaceful and quiet right now everyone is still sleeping except Alexa and me.

the smell of a clean house...scented candles

of what a busy but fun week this is going to be.
I am thankful for...
my father-in-law who suprised us and the kids and showed up just to take them to ice cream! What a nice treat.
From the kitchen...
it is clean and quiet.
I am wearing...
my pj's still as soon as I am done typing it is time to go get ready for the day.
I am creating...
the activities for VBS this week. We just started yesterday and it is a lot of fun.
I am going...
to finish cleaning the school table today and get laundry cleaned up.

my husband doesn't get too exhausted this week between work, school, helping at VBS and then the homeschool Convention this weekend.

It is actually a little cloudy out today. The Monsoon season is here.
I am thinking...
of the many projects I need to complete today and what a wonderful relaxing weekend we had.
I am thankful for...
Christ's sacrifice in giving us the ultimate freedom
From the kitchen...
I can't wait to smell the banana bread I need to bake today. I love that smell.
I am wearing...
my pj's still as soon as I am done typing it is time to go get ready for the day.
I am creating...
schedules and lists for our upcoming trip to South Dakota and for starting school when we get back. I am also working on VBS stuff it starts next week and Jay and I are teaching the 1st and 2nd graders.
I am going...
to the new Tastee Freeze that just opened up close by. Several of our friends are going to meet us there.
I am reading...

I am hoping...
actually praying that gas prices will not continue to skyrocket. We own a suburban and with our growing family it is not feasable to downsize only cut back on driving which we have been doing.

my girls having a "girl party" which consists of playing baby dolls and doing hair and painting finger nails.

There are several things that need to be cleaned up!

Outside My Window...
It is scorching hot!!! Summer is officially here and it is too hot outside to do anything. 111' was the high today.
I am thinking...
of activities I can do with the kids to keep them busy and entertained in the house or places close by that we can go to until I can go swimming again.
I am thankful for...
My Children....even after a day like today!!
From the kitchen...
Jay is cooking up some pork chops, potatoes and veggies. I can't wait to eat.
I am wearing...
maternity clothes still!!! It's only been 3 weeks and my other clothes are in a tub in the garage. I need to get them.
I am creating...
my preschool activity bags. My group exchanges them this Friday
I am going...
to watch Army Wives with Jay after dinner. We fall asleep to early to watch it Sunday nights so we watch it Monday's on the computer.
I am reading...

to get started with Weight Watchers very soon and get back on the treadmill to start losing this baby weight.

It is actually clean and laundry is caught up!!! We had a "cleaning party" after church yesterday and it is so nice having a clean house again!!!

It is a mess in there. I am avoiding it. It needs to be cleaned and mopped today.
