Oct. 19, 2009 - Back to Co-op....Finally

Posted in homeschooling

My kids love our homeschool co-op!!!  We missed the first two weeks in September due to our vacation and they could not wait to start back and see all their friends.  We have several new families that have joined this year so we are up to 20 families and almost 50 kids!!!

(Ok not the best picture.  We were racing out the door, Jay took the pic and I didn't have time to check it so everyone is squinting into the sun!  But there they are ready to go  back packs and lunchboxes all set)

For the month of October I team taught in Joshua's class.  We did a unit study on art and artists.  The kids learned so much and were amazing in their own creativity.  Anastasia's class did a unit on traveling through history and studied some early American history.  Savannah's class did a unit on the human body.  Now our big girl Alexa gets to stay each week in her own class since she is three.  She did fabulous and loved it!!!  I think she had a different theme each week.  One week was polar bears.

They learned about Vincent van Gogh the first week and painted this still life of sunflowers.  The kids did an amazing job and they all need to be framed.

This is Joshua working on his for some reason I don't have a picture of it finished I will need to take one and post it.

The second week they learned about Henri Matisse and how he used pieces of cut paper to make a picture.

The third week they did a self portrait and sculpted with playdough.  I will have to get pictures of all of Joshua's art work.

One week for snack we had a "pencil"

It is a piece of string cheese with a bugle and raisin for the writing part and then a circle piece of bologna held on by mustard for the eraser.  Check out this link for directions:    http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/chew-on-your-pencil-784817/

Savannah is using her lungs to make a painting picture

Cleaning with shaving cream is great fun!

Our big girl ready for co-op!

We had two "after co-op" classes offered this month...Worship dance and bird house making.  Savannah and Alexa participated in the dance and Joshua made a bird house with dad.

We have a week off now and will be ready to start back in November.  (Co-op is always the first three Mondays of a month and then sometimes a field trip is planned the 4th week). I will be teaching in Savannah's class next and we will be making a lap book on American Indians.

Aug. 23, 2009 - Ocean Unit Study

Posted in homeschooling

We are having such a wonderful time with this unit study and the kids are learning so much!

I am amazed at what we have completed this first week!  (It is going to be a two week unit).  We are using  Hands of a Child  lap books; Ocean Habitats for Anastasia and Under the Sea for the other 3.  This is the first time I have used thier project packs for all four at the same time and I love the way the two work together and I can do age appropriate activites for all.

Of course I have to add more to it ! The units themselves are not lacking I just always keep searching for more info and lessons.  I just need to know when to stop!!

I have an inflatable globe (ball) that we tossed around the first day learning the names of the oceans.  They loved that!

We are also making the mural from learningpage.com

It's all colored now we need to add the animals as we learn about them.

Also on that site they have great themed worksheets so I printed off the PreK and 1st grade ones put them in a folder and Savannah and Joshua work on them during workbox time.

My favorite activites this week have been the crafts and we did quite a few:

They made an Ocean Collage picture.  We took blue construction paper, yarn, and green paint.  They dipped the yarn in the paint and laid it on their paper then gently folded the paper.  This made it look like seaweed in the water. Then they glued on different ocean animals.

I just realized I didn't take a picture of them completed yet.

Joshua wanted to make a notebook page showing the food chain in the ocean.  He thought that was really cool.  Anastasia is learning about the different layers of the ocean and what lives where.  She is drawing those layers and writing about them.  (She doesn't want me to take a picture until it is all done.)

Story Time:

We read "The Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Pfister and the kids created their own Rainbow fish complete with it's own shiny scale.

(Joshua's fish was out swimming somewhere in the house and couldn't be located for the picture!)  We made these 3D like and are going to hang them up.  We stuffed the middle with newspaper.

We also read "Starfish" by Edith Thacher Hurd.  The kids glued on Cherrios to their starfish to give it some fun texture.

Now for my favorite book this week.....I am a huge Eric Carle fan but had never read "A House For a Hermit Crab" even with Anastasia having hermit crabs we just missed this book.  It was so much fun to read!!  It follows the time line of the months of the year and the hermit crab looks for a new house.  He finds his shell but it is plain so he goes along the ocean floor and finds different things to add to his house till it is all decorated.

So the kids sponge painted their own "shell" (paper plate) made a hermit crab and then added the objects to it.  I printed them off and some were in color and some they colored.  They cut and glued them on.  These turned out so cute!!

If you want more specific on any of these crafts just ask I would be glad to share.

Aug. 10, 2009 - Our ABC Book

Posted in homeschooling

Savannah and Alexa are working on making a ABC book.  We are focusing on one letter a week.  I put the activity in their workboxes each day.  This first week was the letter A.  I find activities and cut-outs from homeschoolshare.com and www.first-school.ws.

Here is our first page completed.  We will make a cover page and bind them when finished.

(This is the back side of the page) The flash on the camera doesn't like the white paper very much.

We got some extra time to put this one together today since I just had the three little girls.  Jay took Joshua and Anastasia to urgent care because Joshua has pink eye in both eyes and an ear infection and Anastasia has a sever soar throat and fever!  Fun stuff going on around here.

Aug. 6, 2009 - More Fun With Our Five Senses

Posted in homeschooling

Today we focused on the sense of touch.  I filled a paper bag with objects and they had to reach in for one item and figure out what it was.  Before they could just name the object they had to use a describing word such as it feels....smooth, bumpy, hard, soft, etc.  They were so excited about this that after we finished I let them each fill their own bags and they took turns guessing.  This kept them busy for almost 40 min!!

They also made another activity for their lapbook: It is matching feely cards:

We should have the lapbooks complete by next week and I will share pictures.

Jul. 18, 2009 - One Of My Favorite Times of the Year!!

Posted in homeschooling

I absolutely love our annual homeschool convention.  It is always over a Friday and Saturday each year in July and it is sponsered by AFHE (Arizona Families for Home Education)  Jay and I have gone every year since Anastasia has turned two!  I can't believe we have been attending for 10 years now. It is such a time of renewal and refreshness (is that a word?)  I didn't hear a final count this year of attendees but it has grown so much and there were thousands of people in the main speaking room each morning.  We love to go for a multitude of reasons....listening to great speakers, workshops, the curriculum hall, catching up with friends, time with just the two of us to recommit to what God has called us to, did I mention the curriculum hall

This year's speaker was Voddie Baucham.  He was incredible.  I encourage you to check him out he has various sites and you can just google his name.  Jay and I so share his vision and others that we have heard at previous conventions of creating a multigenerational family based on a Bibical world view not a secular humanism view.  I am about to get on my soap box here so watch out.  LOL  I am getting copies of his talks on cds from the convention and we can't wait to listen to them again.  He shared some fabulous and yet scary quotes from some of the founding fathers of government education.  Too many people believe that education can be neutral and that is just not so.  The Bible says give to Caesar what is Caesar's.  Well my children are gifts from God not Caesar so I am not going to send them to "Caesar's Indoctrination Camps"  Whoa!  Those are probably fighting words. I have always heard them refered to as public schools, gov't schools and Caesar's schools but when Voddie called them Caesar's Indoctrination Camps I thought he was right on but don't think that I could get away with calling them that!

So moving on; Voddie shared about his family and his commitment to family disciple ship and the call for parents to take back their biblical responsibilities as the primary spiritual mentors and shepherds of their children.  It is not the church nor youth pastors responsibility.  We bought his book Family Driven Faith subtitled Doing What it Takes To Raise Sons and Daughters Who Will Walk With God.  It is an excellent book.  We listened to all 5 of his talks and didn't really go to anyone else this year.

I was really good in the curriculum hall.  I brought my list and stuck to it.  I would really like one year to have an extra $200.00 to spend on books and "stuff"!  Wouldn't we all!!!  I bought Anastasia and Joshua's math books, a spelling book for Joshua and a vocabulary book for Anastasia.  I have the year planned out for our unit studies and I will share that in another post.

I will end with this.  If you are homeschooling or considering homeschooling and have never been to a convention I strongly encourage you to go.  You will not be disappointed.   It has been such a blessing to Jay and I each year and next year we will take Anastasia with us.  They have a teen track for those 12 and older so she will finally get to participate in that.

Jul. 14, 2009 - Our Five Senses

Posted in homeschooling

Along with our workboxes the little ones have been working on a lap book about their five senses.  We just started this week and after our first experiment even Alexa knows all five.

I gathered them around the table and showed them two plates.  Each plate had white crystals on it.  (Before we started we of course talked about how they could only do this with mommy or daddy and they never touch or taste anything when they don't know what it is).  One plate had sugar the other salt but they did not know this.  We went thru all the senses; what does it look like, sound like, feel like, smell like and last what does it taste like.  I had them each lick their finger to get it wet and then rub it on the plate.  They all tasted at the same time.  Joshua got a mouth full !!  See picture below:

He immediately ran to the sink!  The girls were a bit more careful but not much. They were all leary to taste the sugar.  LOL

The next day our activity focused on our nose and sense of smell.  It tied in nicely with our reading of Homer Price and his pet skunk named Aroma.

This activity was really cool.  We made scratch n sniff paint from kool-aid.  I bought lemon, cherry, grape and strawberry kool-aid so I printed off a lemon, strawberry, grapes, and cherry pie (I just googled black and white clip art).  To make the paint you dump the packet of kool-aid into a bowl and just at a tiny bit of water maybe 1-2tbsp.  You don't want it too watery.  Then they paint the picture.  Some stayed really sticky but smelled great!!!  When I cut them out to put in a booklet for thier lapbooks I covered the pictures with saran wrap.  They can lift up to smell and the pages won't stick together.

I got this idea from www.Perpetualpreschool.com check them out for lots of great ideas.

This next week we are going to make the following.  I will let you know how it turns out.

KOOL AID PLAY DOH --Smells Yummy - Tastes Yucky :/

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
2 (1/4 ounce) packages Kool-Aid
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 cups boiling water
3 tablespoons oil

Directions
1-Mix the dry ingredients, then add the boiling water and oil. Be careful-this is HOT!
2-Stir until it thickens, then knead until smooth.
3-This smells so good!

***I blend all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl & add the boiling water and oil in a and use my pastry cutter to blend. It is our fave play doh recipe. We store in fridge.

May. 19, 2009 - Our Last Co-op for the year

Posted in homeschooling

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more

Monday was our last co-op for the year.  What a wonderful and enriching year it has been for both my kids and myself.  We have made such great friendships and learned a lot.  The kids were actually sad that it is time for summer break and want to make sure they can get together over the summer with their friends.  It has been especially neat to watch Joshua's friendships blossom.  One of his best friends is Ethan and when Joshua was packing his lunch for co-op he asked if he could bring an extra apple and carrots because Ethan had a loose tooth and he wanted to help him get it out.  How cute is that!!    One thing I really like about co-op is now for next year they just don't move the kids up to the next grade.  They really try to keep classes together because of these friendships.

Anastasia is losing a good friend this year due to them moving to Flagstaff.  So that has been hard.  But Flagstaff is great to visit both in the summer and winter.

I didn't get many pictures this month but Anastasia's class was studying Botany, Joshua was studying space and Savannah was studying plants, summer fun and seeds.

Savannah's class made picnic plates and played water balloon games during their picnic class.

Anastasia sprouted a lima bean in a wet paper towel and then moved it to a pot and now it is growing like crazy.

Between Anastasia and Savannah we now have a garden starting on our window sill.  The kids love checking on them each morning and see how they are growing.  We need to go get some bigger planters to do some transplanting.

Joshua learned all about planets, and space ships.  I didn't get a picture yet of him in his space helmet.  It was really cute.  Below is a placemat I found at Wal-Mart and got for Joshua.  (They have great placemats there for only $1.00 we have quite a few of them.)

We had a wonderful year and the kids are already asking when is September!

Apr. 22, 2009 - Top Ten Reasons Not To Give Up!

Posted in homeschooling

This is an excellent list and a good reminder for us all!!

Top 10 Reasons Not to Give Up!

This week's excellent Top 10 list comes from Erin Mewes.
  1. Your children would never find a teacher who loves them more than you do.
  2. Those bad days? You would still have them even if your child went to public school--probably worse.
  3. If God has called you to homeschool, then NOT homeschooling is a sin.
  4. Your children are cultivating a "learning lifestyle"--everything is interesting, and their curiosity is always piqued.
  5. Your children are learning not just "school stuff," but life: choices, self-sufficiency, budgeting, time management, etc.
  6. Your schedule can be flexible, allowing your children to actually spend time with their father--no matter what kind of schedule he has.
  7. You have got the best class size of all--one-on-one.
  8. You can correct problems as they happen--not as you happen to notice them (which could be weeks after they've made it a habit).
  9. Your children are encouraged to be kind to all age groups, all races, all capabilities, and all viewpoints, regardless of what other children are doing.
  10. Your children can focus on their schoolwork without worrying about the troublemakers in class, what they're wearing, or being "behind".

(The Homeschool Minute e-newsletter - April 15, 2009 edition)

What a great reminder and thoughts to focus on at the end of the school year!

Thanks to Karen for first posting this.

Apr. 21, 2009 - Co-op this week---Three Billy Goats Gruff

Posted in homeschooling

How many of you remember reading this book as a kid??  I love this story and so do my kids.  Every time we walk across a bridge anywhere they start saying "trip trap, trip trap whose that crossing over my bridge?"

To finish up this month of co-op this is the book we read.  It tied in nicely with Goldie Lock and the Three bears from last week since the number 3 and the letter G.   We did a lot of fun activities.....after reading the story the first time the kids made finger puppets and then we went out on to the play ground and acted out the story.  The play structure has a bridge so it was perfect.  I think the kids favorite activity was making their own troll face.  They had a good time with this and were very creative.

It has been an awesome year with co-op next month is the last month already and then summer break.  It has been so enriching for my kids and myself we have all built wonderful friendships through learning, faith and fun. We are looking forward to next year!

You can read about what Joshua did this month in co-op by looking at my ABSee Photo meme the letter I.

Apr. 14, 2009 - Co-op School this month- April

Posted in homeschooling

I am teaching in the preschool class again this month.  The first Monday we did all Easter activities.  These next two Mondays I will focus on Fairy tales.  This week we did Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  It was so much fun.  I told the story using a felt board kit that I have.  The kids made stick puppets to retell the story.  Then we made porridge (oatmeal) for snack.  They loved it.  They got to add toppings to it such as chocolate chips, granola, brown sugar, flax seed and nuts.  They practiced writing the number 3 and colored their own bowl of porridge.  Next week we are going to do the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff.  My own kids love this story.

Joshua's class is learning all about bugs this month and Anastasia's class is putting together the yearbook.  They are learning all about taking and editing pictures and puting them together.

I can't belive we only have one more month of co-op before summer break.  I remember being so excited about going to the first meeting and now our first year is almost over.  Wow how time flies.

Here is a picture of them with their snack:

Feb. 23, 2009 - Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Posted in homeschooling

This Monday was the field trip for our co-op this month and we went to  Boyce Thompson Arboretum  It was a Gorgeous day and Anastasia took some Gorgeous pictures  (be sure and check out our AB See Meme for the letter G).    The kids were divided into two groups for the tours.  The older kids did the Deserts of the World Tour while the younger kids did the Plants 101 tour.  I went on the tour with the younger ones and Anastasia went with the bigger kids so I don't have very many pictures with her in it.  But she took some great pictures all on her own.

Our tour guide did a great job with the kids.  He taught them  a lot.

Leaf Rubbings

Group picture

We loved these huge trees.  We don't see those everyday around here.

A family used to actually live here.

The "pizza" plant.  We walked through an herb garden and the kids could rub the leaves between their fingers and smell.  This one was oregeno the kids all called it the pizza plant.

After lunch this was the kids favorite spot of course.

Boys, Rocks and water need I say more?

The end result!

The girls are making a pop up groundhog puppet

Their groundhog snack

Their Valentine's snack.   Yes, this class is all about the food.

Joshua's class is writing roman numerals on clay tablets like the 10 Commandments.

Jan. 19, 2009 - Iron Chef Cook Off

Posted in homeschooling

This month in co-op Anastasia's class has been doing a unit on cooking, food and nutrition.  For the last class of the month her class was divided into two groups and had a cook off.  They would be making their lunch and dessert.  Anastasia's group made a spaghetti and her favorite brownie cake dessert.  All the kids did a great job and learned a lot.  This unit was great for Anastasia as she loves to cook and do this stuff.  They even gave each kid a certificate I need to get a picture of it.

Jan. 17, 2009 - Another Reason Why I Love Homeschooling!

Posted in homeschooling

Friday morning the kids got up and started their school work but I wanted to get out and do something so I said "Let's go to the zoo!"  We have annual passes so they were all excited because we hadn't been in awhile.  We invited my sister and they joined us.  While the rest of the country is having freezing weather and snow we have to take advantage of this beautiful 70' weather because come summer is when we will be hibernating in the house from the 115' weather!!  So we packed up some snacks and water and headed out.  This is one of many reasons I love homeschooling because we can do things like this on a whim.
Looking for ducks and turtles.

A worm from the composting area

The new Discovery Farm area is great!  My kids love Little People.

We actually got to feed the stingrays this time.  It was so neat .  They would swim over our hand to get the food(dead fish) sticking up from our fingers.  Several came up and splashed Savannah!

Joshua was so excited he found a dinosaur to ride on the carousel.

Can you swing like a monkey?

We stayed till 5:00pm and then met Jay for dinner for friday night fun!

Jan. 15, 2009 - Can you say Paleontologist?

Posted in homeschooling

The kids have been learning the names of dinosaurs, how they are like reptiles, when God created them and all about their bones.  Today we read Curious George's Dinosaur Discovery (Joshua loves Curious George).  George went to a site to dig for dinosaur bones. After the story I told them they get to go hunt for dinosaur bones in our backyard. They were so excited.  Anastasia even wanted to get in on the action.  They all found a hat to wear and got their tools and off we went.

Wow look at all those bones!

Fitting them all together

Here are their discoveries:

Jan. 9, 2009 - Snow Ball Fight---Arizona Style

Posted in homeschooling

What a fun afternoon we had Thursday with our homeschool group.  It was park day and we had a snowball fight....Arizona style.  My friend Kymberly invited our family to one on New Year's Day but we weren't able to make it.  It sounded like so much fun I was so glad when my hs group wanted to have one.  Several had participated in a Florida snowball fight.  So have I got you wondering what is a "Arizona Snowball Fight"?  Well scroll down and take a look at the great pictures:

Some of the kids couldn't see the point in throwing  a perfectly good marshmallow!  I love this picture!  (She threw plenty of marshmallows especially at me!!!)

We had a blast!  The kids were looking forward to it all week.  The moms even had fun!  We of course cleaned up all our marshmallows afterwards.  I don't think the kids getting ready to use the field for soccer practice would have likes marshmallows in their cleats!

Jan. 8, 2009 - This Weeks Happenings

Posted in homeschooling

We are back to the grindstone this week.  Well kind of anyways.    We are trying to get back on track.  It is so hard to get up early when it stays dark outside later.  This month I am not teaching at co-op so I just drop the oldest three off so there probably won't be many pictures of what they are doing.  This past Monday Alexa, Natasha and I ran errands- post office, Costco, bank etc.  Tuesday was PE and we got the basics done for school.  Then today Joshua was so excited started a unit about Dinosaurs.  I am using materials from both   Homeschool share and   learning page .  Homeschool share has a great lapbook that is creation based and learning page has a wonderful wall mural to color and add the dinosaurs too.  Did  I mention it is all for FREE!!Today we were coloring maniacs and colored the wall mural, everyone helped.  Then Joshua is going to color the dinosaurs and add them to the mural as we learn about them.

Here is the mural hung on a wall in our school room.  If you can see the picture at the bottom, that is the one Alexa helped with.   She wanted to be a part of it and as long as hers was hung on the wall she was happy!

Next the dinosaurs took over Joshua's train table as he set up a display of them.  (I didn't realize how many he had!)

Jurrasic Park meets Starwars!  Only in a boy's mind!

A wall to contain the T. Rex's

Notice the cans in the background?!  I was making Chili one night for dinner and Joshua was helping and then asked if he could have all the cans for building with.  (Who needs blocks or legos???)

The rest of the week we are going to get started on the lapbook activities and read in Genesis to see when God created the dinosaurs.

It has been hard motivating Anastasia this week to get going and school work is taking longer to finish!  Hopefully the rest of this week we will get started back with her US history.  We are studying the states and early American history.  However I should say since we got a Wii for Christmas it has been a  good motivator for all of them for accomplishing things because it is not aloud to turn on until all school work and chores are  done!

I need to get going we have dr. appt, picture appt and park day today so I need to go get in the shower before everyone else wakes up!

How is everyone else doing at getting back into the swing of things after the Christmas break?

Dec. 18, 2008 - Birthday Party for Jesus

Posted in homeschooling

Today we had our annual "Birthday Party for Jesus" with our homeschool group.  Claudia hosted it and she is definetly the "hostess with the mostess"  It was a great party that everyone enjoyed.  There were craft stations set up with coloring pages and ornament making.  We even made a special snack pack to keep in the car for when we run across a homeless person to give them a gift.  Included with it is a paper with local missions listed on it and a plan for salvation.  Everyone brought great food to share and of course there was the cake.  Just before we were getting ready sing happy birthday and blow out the candles, Savannah came up to me and asked if she could blow out the candles since Jesus was in heaven and couldn't do it.  (How cute is that!!)  After the pictures I have included a recpie for a cake that we make as a family for Jesus's birthday.

Making angel crafts.

Coloring pages

The boys playing ball in the backyard.

Getting ready to sing "Happy Birthday"

We let just Mrs. Claudia blow out the candles so we could all enjoy the cake!

Happy Birthday Jesus!!!!

Birthday Cake for Jesus

Start with a chocolate cake to symbolize our sin, black in god's own eyes (Romans 3:23).  Layer it with white frosting just as Christ's purity covers our sins (Isaiah 1:18).  The entire cake should be shaped circular to demonstrate that God is "eternal" (Isaiah 4:6, Revelation 1:8 and 1 Timothy 1:17) has no beginning or ending.

On top of the cake put a yellow star to signify the one that shone over Jesus manager (Matther 2:1-2), an angel to indicate the first glad tidings (Luke 2:9-10) and candles to show that christ is the light of the world (John 8:12).  Make sure there are 12 candles to remind us that Jesus is the light of the world throught out the 12 months of the year, not just at Christmas and make sure they are red, symbolizing His blod shed for us (Matther 26:27-28)

Put some evergreens on teh cake to signify everlasting life (John 3:16), God's gift to those who receive it.

Enjoy!

Dec. 15, 2008 - Co-op school- December

Posted in homeschooling

This month at Co-op I had the opportunity to teach in the 3 and 4 year old class.  It was so much fun and we were busy little elves all three weeks. Of course the theme was Christmas and we were busy little elves.  They made angels for daddy's and bath salts for mommy's,  On the last Monday before break we had a Christmas party.  It was great fun for all.  I think my favorite part was at the beginning when the kids were split up into groups.  We had to make 5 groups and mixed older kids with younger kids to help the others and it was so awesome to see the older ones wanting to help the younger ones and sisters and brothers wanting to be together!! (This is one of many reasons I love homeschoolers!!!!) There was none of this age segregration and having to be with only kids of the same age.

Each group rotated to different activities: outdoor games, crafts, cookie decorating, story time, indoor games.

Watching Mrs. Mandy make snow

 Decorating gift bags

"Guess which Nativity scene character I am"

Snowflake crafts

Cookie decorating

Snack and story indoors in a tent. Mrs. Jenita reading                             "The Christmas Lizard"

On the ninth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "They'll miss
the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long
will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about P.E., do you give
them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"
On the tenth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "What about
graduation, they'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what
they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE,
what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you
homeschool legally?"
On the eleventh day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "I could
never do that, what about graduation, they'll miss the prom, why do
you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you
homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about P.E., do you give them
tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"
On the twelfth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Can they go
to college, I could never do that, what about graduation, they'll miss
the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long
will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about P.E., do you give
them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"
On the thirteenth day of homeschool I thoughtfully replied: "They can
go to college, yes you can do this, they can have graduation, we don't
like the prom, we do it `cuz we like it, they are missing nothing,
we'll homeschool forever, WE ARE NOT STRANGE!, we give them P.E., and
we give them tests, they are socialized, AND WE HOMESCHOOL LEGALLY!
On the fourteenth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "How can I
get started, why didn't you tell me, where do I buy curriculum, when
is the next conference, WILL PEOPLE THINK WE'RE STRANGE?, I think we
can do this, if you will help us, we will join a sports team and we'll
homeschool legally."
