Thanksgiving
It's that time of year again. The time to smell the great smells of thanksgiving and giving thanks for all we have  . This year we will be unable to do Thanksgiving with my mom's parents for the first time in my life! We will however e going to my dad's parents house for Thanksgiving, for those of you who know me our relatetionship is not great with them (loooooooong and hurtful story). And at first I was mad that we wouldn't be able to because my dad crossed wires with my mom about the only day we could do Thanksgiving was the day and no other and that the day he planned it. I was upset at first as I said, but I relized, maybe God was trying to make me be more thankful for my dad's parents, they might not know what they've done but they do still love us. They are still good company and make great food (lol I just had to add that). And they won't be around forever, many years to come I pray, but there will come a time when they'll be gone and I'll regret hating them, and rejecting them. So I've decided to give thanks for ALL my family, and friends this year, and our cozy home, sure life is messy, and yucky at times but it is what God wants for us right now and we should give thanks. So my question is this: "What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving"? |
