...Father's Day! And I've absolutly NOTHING for dad! So hopefully tonight I'll go and get a card for him, otherwise I'm broke. But, its the thought that counts right? I'm not as nice as some girls are for their Dad, I have never gotten up make breakfast for him because that would mean getting up at six in the morning. Not my best time, |
. I'm very much a nite owl and my Daddy is a morning person. I'm terrible *laughs*. He is the BEST DAD I could EVER EVER have grown up being lead by, he is A AWESOME DAD! As I look back over the years I can only smile and laugh over the times we've had together. Going Fishing, playing monopoly together and me beating him ALL the time! I try not to think that he might have let me win those games. Going together to the park with the rest of my siblings, watching him hold his first child in 9 years since I had been born, beaming with pleasure at each new arrival, especially his first boy. He was BEAMING! Being almost 17 scares him a little, he keeps saying "someday I'll have to give you up to your own man God has set for you". I'll say "Yes, I know, but I won't be going till God shows me that it is time to go, and it will be alright". I have never seen my Daddy cry, I think it takes a strong man to be able to not cry, even though on the inside it take all he can not to. I would never call a man that crys a coward, if he was crying for the right reasons, letting a daughter go to be married and start her own family with her husband I think would be reason to cry with joy, sorrow, just mixed emotions. Someday when that day comes I'm sure we will all cry in this house, because it will be so wonderful, and sorrowful all at the same time. I love my family, very deeply. It will be a hard change someday, but not for now. So for all you daughters and sons that have a wonderful father on earth or if he is in heaven with God say thanks and give you Dad a great big hug right now, and tomorrow, and tell him thanks. Remember God is your father too, no matter what you believe, he created you and loves you with ALL THAT HE IS!Comments
