I just finished reading my copy of Home Schooling the High Schooler and feeling more confident about the exciting adventure my ds and I are embarking on next year. This e-book is such an encouragement. It has articles from many respected homeschool authors, homeschool graduates and in the trenches home schooling parents. It's more than a "how to" but encourages the home schooling parent to enjoy the high school years and use them for God's glory.

There are plenty of suggestions to help you and your student focus on God's call for your child's life and how to find the right "courses" to prepare them for their future. I had not thought of things like contacting colleges to find out their entrance requirements and building that into my child's education to prepare them. It discusses apprenticeships, volunteerism, and students who even start their own businesses.

Much of my copy of this book is highlighted. I know it's an e-book but I know I will be returning to it again and again for the resources and encouragement it contains. Part One is entitled You Can Homeschool Through The High School Years and Part II is Options and Resources

Home Schooling the High Schooler suggests giving my child a bigger part in his education. That has always been my goal. God used this e-book to confirm my thoughts. I want my ds to read it when I am finished so that we will both be encouraged, inspired and ready to tackle high school.
