Trailblazer Writing Seminar

Trailblazer Writing Seminar

New Life Christian Academy is excited to host a writing workshop on Monday, May 15, 2006. Dave and Neta Jackson are the husband and wife team who authored the award-winning TRAILBLAZER series. This series consists of 40 historical fiction novels for young readers about great Christian heroes. They also wrote HERO TALES: A Family Treasury of True Stories from the lives of Christian Heroes (Vols. I, II, III, IV).

Dave and Neta Jackson are enthusiastic about books, kids, walking with God, gospel music, and each other! Together they are the authors or coauthors of about 100 books (they lost count). In addition to writing the TRAILBLAZER series and the HERO TALES, the Jacksons have coauthored numerous books with expert resource people on a variety of topics from racial reconciliation to medical ethics to ministry to kids in gangs.

Dave and Neta live in Evanston, Illinois, where for twenty-seven years they were active members of Reba Place Church, a Christian church community. More recently, they became members at the Worship Center, a multi-racial congregation "dedicated to worshipping God and declaring His salvation and love to the world."

The Jacksons will have a special chapel and story time with all NLCA students in K-6 from 9-9:40. Writing workshops for grades 3-6 will follow both before and after lunch. The book table will be open during lunch as well as the end of school.

These workshops are also open to home-school students in grades 3-6 for a fee of $20 per student. Please pass this on to any home-school families who might be interested in attending. There are registration forms available in the New Life office or they can email Marci Howell at dmjhow@evenlink.com. Registration deadline is Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Space is limited!!
