Aug. 18, 2009 - Visits from friends
Years ago, six to be exact, when my family and I were going to a different church we had really, really good friends! They have four kids and have always been good friends with my family. Well, seven or eight years ago they moved to Pakistan and were missionarys! We have not seem them since! After a few years in Pakistan they moved to Canada and have been living there for the past six years!
And now they are visiting Oregon and want to come see us! I can not wait! So today we have been cleaning the house like crazy and are now waiting for them. My dad is even coming home from work for an hour or so to see them!

Aug. 15, 2009 - The weekend is a time for writing.
I love the weekend!
It's my chance to sleep in, wake up, eat and then write all day! Which is pretty much what I have been doing ALL day!
In between watching The Newsies and helping my mom around the house, I have been writing and writing and writing! I have written almost 8 chapters on my latest book! It's sooo cool!
I have had major Writer's Block for the past two weeks and now (ha!) I am able to write again! I love it! =)

Aug. 13, 2009 - Painting is a chore....
My mom and I recently decided to paint my room. Usually my dad does the painting and we just dissapear for a day or too but my mom and I realized that my dad is never going to get around to painting my room. So we are going to do it. For the past seven years, my room has been pink. And not a cute pink but like, a BRIGHT pink. I don't like pink anymore and have been begging to paint my room for about a year now!
At first my mom and I thought it would be fun to paint my room, just us, without my dad around.
But when you really get down to it, your not just painting. You have to do the spackle, clean the walls, take everything off your walls, move pretty much your whole room out into the hall where everyone wants to look at it and by the time you actually get to the fun part (painting) it's not that fun anymore because you are tired and grumpy and irritable.....
I can not survive around wet paint. I get the worst migrains! So tonight, I get to sleep on the couch, while still taking care of the puppies and trying not to freak out! I don't like sleeping downstairs alone.....But I am going to try not to think about the scary monsters that come out of the TV at night and instead...just try to think about when I get my room back!

Aug. 12, 2009 - The library
What makes the library so exciting?
Is it the fact that you get to be among hundred of books?
Is it the friendly librarians?
Maybe it's because you get to be around fellow book lovers. Or perhaps it's because you get to go, browse and check out whatever you want!
And then you get to go home and sit in you special reading spot, and if the weather is cold, wrap up in a blanket, or if it's hot, put a fan near you.
Then you get to dive head first into a completely different world. And from there until you finish the book, you have no control....=)
I love the library!

Aug. 11, 2009 - Writing, a hobby or my life?
My life, definitely. If I couldn't write I don't think I could get through the hard times, or even the happy times. I have never been very good and talking about how I feel, unless it's to really close friends, so writing has always been my...escape I guess you could say. When I feel sad or angry, or happy, fearfull, excited, anxious, or just bored, I like to write. Whether it's blogging, or writing in my diary, or writing to a friend, or writing a short story or working on one of my novals, all writing is fun to me. (Unless it's writing out math problems and spelling words! =P)
Writing helps me to let out my feelings, and it helps others to understand what I can't say in person!
Like, lately my Papa has been taking a turn for the worse...his cancer is back after a short time of rest and the chemo he is going through has made him really sick. Because of this, I have been doing a lot of writing in my diary, and have written a few short stories, all of which are pretty sad!
I don't even know if you can understand this, I tend to ramble...a lot! But lately I have wanted to write a post about...writing! So here it is! Your very own, extremely confusing and hopefully without too many spelling mistakes post about writing!

Aug. 8, 2009 - Puppy Love
A few weeks ago my dad asked my mom if we could get a dog. We used to have dogs but had to get rid of them when we found my younger sister was allerigc to them. Well, at first my mom said no, she didn't want a dog. But then she changed her mind and wanted to get one for my dad's birthday which is tomorrow.
For the past couple of days, my mom and I have been on the computer looking for the best breed of dog to buy and where to find it and so on and so forth. We found a breed called Shih Poo, a Shih Tzu Poodle mix. They are sooo cute and my mom and I decided that we just had to get one!
The next day I woke up and asked my mom if she had bought this one puppy that we wanted. She said she had....and she had bought another one too! We now have two puppies flying to us from Oklahoma! They are both boys, brothers infact, and we have to go pick them up from the airport in two hours! I can't wait!
My whole family is still trying to decided what to name them. At first we wanted to name them Teddy and Corky. But my dad didn't like the name Corky. So then we were thinking Ruff & Tumble, Dot & Dash, Teddy & Bear, Abbot & Costello...so on and so forth.right now we have no idea what we are going to call them! I think we are just going to wait and see what there personalities are!
This is the puppy my mom wanted and ended up getting! She really wants to name this puppy Teddy!
This is the puppy that the rest of us fell in love with! My dad wants to call him Duke! My mom and I told him no! =)

Jul. 31, 2009 - Babysitting...kinda.....
Right now I am at a family friends house "babysitting." Right now, the mom and youngest child are sleeping and I am waiting for the nanny and the rest of the kids to get back so that I can go home. Since I got her I have pretty much just sat around doing nothing. I finally decided to get on the computer.....
Now I am just trying to think up something to write about. Oh yes, here is a somewhat interesting topic. I was going to go to fair with my friends but they ended up deciding they would not be going. So now I have no-one to go to fair with....I'm a bit bummed about that but I guess there is always next year, right?
What to say, what to say? Hmmmm, not sure.
Well, I suppose will go try to find something to do until the nanny gets here!

Jul. 30, 2009 - The Fair
Usually, I am not a big fan of the fair. I am terrified of heights so most of the rides just don't sit well with me. When and if I do go to fair, it's uasually to see the animals, eat food and hang out with friends!
Well, the fair has recently come to my little town and this year I really want to go! I didn't go last year because I couldn't afford it but because one of my friend's moms offered to pay, I might be able to go! I am eternelly grateful to her because it means a fun night with friends.
So far, three girls from my church will be there and we all just want to hang out and maybe go to rodeo! I can't wait! We will probably be going tomorrow, sometime in the afternoon!

Jul. 26, 2009 - Fred..the bestest rock ever....
Yes, Fred is a rock. A pretty awesome one at that!
Today I went to the lake with my friend Shelby and while we were swimming I stubbed my toe on a rock and promptely named it Fred. He was a pretty big rock. I picked him up, (I could barely hold him!) and then started laughing histaricley. I HAD A ROCK! And not just any rock! I had a rock named Fred!
I spent the rest of the time throwing Fred and then diving under the water and getting him again...it was fun! Yes, I may be weird but you don't know anything until you have a pet rock. Mine was just a rather large rock.....=)

Jul. 21, 2009 - The Lake
Last Saterday my family went to the lake. It was a blast! It was extremely hot out so it felt really nice to swim in the cold, cold water! Emily and I found out a couple things....
First, it is no fun to swim among a bunch of weeds....
Second, you can NOT paddle in a straight line when on a inner tube using two oars...it doesn't work.

Jul. 19, 2009 - The Lake
Today, my family and my friend Emily went to the lake. The packing up was long and very boring, the ride was worse, swimming was a blast(!!!!) and the ride home everyone was soo tired, we all fell asleep! Even me and I can't sleep in cars! =)
At one point Emily and I were on a inner tube with tow oars......you think about it and it seems like it would work...but it doesn't. You end up just going in circles! It was really funny!

Jul. 12, 2009 - God cares.
1 Peter 5:10-14
Depend on God’s Grace! Have you considered how kind God is with us (even when we are in the depths of stress and despair), how His hand is guiding, and how He will restore us for our benefit and His glory?
I have recently been having some things happen in my life that could be for the better but right now they are just hard. My friend,Bluejane and I have recently grown close and for awhile now her father has been looking at different job offers. After many offers he finally got a job and will be moving...half way across the US. My best friend Emily moved to Montana ten months ago and that was hard so losing Bluejane will be difficult.
Also, my Papa has had cancer for a long time now and the docters say there is really nothing they can do to help prevent the cancer from spreading and the can't reallyease the pain either. It's been so hard to watch him die. He missed my 16 birthday because he was so sick...and when my grandma asked if he wanted to sign my card, he didn't even know who I was.
We have also had a lot more family problems, things I can't talk about but I have been discovering more and more lately, I don't need to worry about the future. It's hard now, and I will probably go through a lot more hard times in the years to come...but I always have God to lean on. Always.

What can I say?
I have recently been reconected to the wonderful candy-in-pure-suger-form Pixi Sticks.
These wonderful little sticks of suger are far better than your average suger in a suger bowl.
They are wonderful little creations that eat away at your teeth and make you feel sick if you eat too many.

Let me start out with...I hate fireworks. They scare me. Actually, I don't think scare is the right word. It doesn't quite do the job. More like, terrify, horrify, frieghten...
They scare me. Let's just stick with that.
For the 4th we went to a friend's house and watched the *clears throat* fireworks.....
Other than the fireworks I had a lot of fun. Surprisingly....=)
