Well, I realized today that my last blog entry is from Mother's Day. Things have been crazy around here. On Saturday I canned 13 pints of blackberry jam, and today I have done 13 pints of peach jam. Peaches were only $.77 a pound at the local grocery, so I bought 25 pounds! The trick was keeping the children out of them until I could can them.
A week and a half ago we got 125 chicks... most of them for meat birds which we will butcher. We will keep some ourselves, and some we are raising for some friends.
My garden isn't doing well these days. We have only gotten one day of rain, and two thunderstorms this whole summer. But we have a few tomatoes and some peppers ripening.
My 6 y.o. - Anna Grace- lost her first tooth last week. I'll try to post a picture of her later. She is so proud of herself!
