We Received Good News!

Posted in Mercy Medical

For the first time, we got good news in dealing with Mercy's problems.    The hemangioma stops just below the ear... does not extend any farther down the neck, and is not at risk of blocking airways.  I am so thrilled to finally feel encouraged!

I am going to take her to the pediatric plastic surgeon tomorrow and should have more answers as to what to do.  For now, we are celebrating Josiah's 10th birthday with a day off school.  I have used the day to get caught up with fighting the health insurance for Mercy's coverage.  You would think that with as much as we pay them, they would cover SOMETHING without a fight, but that is not the case!

Thank you all for your prayers.  They mean so much to us.

That is good news. She looks like such a sweet little girl!

I love your stories of the funny things your kids say. I thought of the breast milk story the other day. I'm babysitting a 3 month old little girl whose mother sends expressed breast milk for her, so we have these bags of milk in our freezer. It seems strange to see them in there, but I'm glad this mom is trying to nurse her baby as long as she can. Since she's a teacher, she'll get the summer off to continue.

God be with you on the insurance.

No matter the outcome there is always Light in the darkness. Glad you can experience some of the encouragement now! Mercy looks so cute on the bottom picture.
Never heard about the mother's milk thing for pink eye. We'll have to keep that in mind.
3 weeks and counting for #3!!
