October Update

Do not mistake my quietness for lack of activity at the Peterson Farm... we have been living, learning, and laughing all the time!  Here are some of the funnies of the last weeks:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eric: Carri- I have a great idea!  It's time for Nathan to go to bed!
Carri:  That's a GREAT IDEA!  You're right!
Nathan:  NO!  THAT NOT A GREAT IDEA!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Josiah learned that doing the Lipton Iced Tea Plunge was a bad idea.  And that Mama doesn't believe a "little fall" could cause it.  Mainly because I did the same thing with a Super Sanooka Bodyslam when I was younger...  Never Fear... he'll be fixing it soon.

We have started doing a Martha Washington Hair Style for the little girls...  See the M and W?

Mercy is growing up.... she can stand at the edges of things.  She still doesn't crawl, which we are thankful for.  After all, Hurricane Nathan is enough trouble...

We had a bronchoscoscopy done on Friday (that's a camera down her throat).  I was really hoping to have them tell me she was just fine, but unfortunately there are hemangiomas in the upper airway.    Thankfully we currently have control of the growth, so as long as it doesn't grow again, we should have no problems.  We are crushing the prednisone pills into her food, and she is getting it that way.  Thankfully it is working, and we have seen no new growth in the past month or so.  Please continue to pray that it doesn't go through another phase of growing, but starts to go away.  We are pretty tired of this whole thing!

Today is Anna's 8th birthday.  Hands down, it was the hardest day of my life, as Eric was deployed to East Timor and I was in Okinawa Japan having her without my best friend in the world.  But she is such a blessing to us!  I am so glad we have her.  Even if it is a little sad to have her growing up on us.  We plan on meeting some wonderful friends at a local park for the day.  We finally have a break in the heat wave, so it should be a wonderful day.  I'll hopefully add a couple photos from it in the next few days.

That's all that's going on here.  Eric's parents arrive a week from today for a visit, so we are looking forward to next week!
